NIGHTMARES. A very bad or frightening dream. Anna was starting to lose count of the number of nightmares she’s been having since Josh’s death but whenever she woke up with one, clearing her head with a jog had been working well on her. She lets out a sigh as she turns sideways to stare at the mini alarm clock she had next to her bed. The time read 6:00 am and she hated the fact that she had to be awake at this early hour of the day.

Six months mated, and I woke to Skyler's nightmare. Not metaphorically—literally. Through the bond, his terror slammed into me like a physical blow, jarring me from sleep. He thrashed beside me, caught in whatever darkness haunted his dreams, a low growl rumbling in his chest. "Skyler." I shook his shoulder gently. "Wake up. You're dreaming." His eyes snapped open—pure gold, his wolf too close to the surface. For a second, he didn't recognize me. His hand shot out, gripping my wrist hard enough to bruise before awareness returned.

Skyr then reached out to grab one of my hands on the table and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I could feel butterflies doing summersaults at the pit of my stomach at the gesture that I had to fight to urge to pull my hand away. “It’s...It’s just…” I turned to look at Skyr, feeling vulnerable as I admitted my nightmares, “I’m scared that everyone would die if I fail. I keep having these dreams about Silisk killing...you guys. And now I keep having these thoughts that Silisk might not be the one to…” I trailed off as I could no longer bring myself to finish the sentence.

I fell to the ground and tried to touch my baby but again I was pulled back but this time I was pulled into a dark hole. "Sky wake up!" I opened my eyes to come face to face with Kyle. Just seeing his face reminds me of that horrid nightmare I just had. I started to cry hysterically, Kyle brought me close to his chest and wrapped his arms tight around me while cooing in my ear sweet nothings. "Kyle I had this awful nightmare..." I then told him everything about it, its was the most horrifyingly, realistic nightmare I've ever had. 'Sky that wasn't a nightmare, it was a vision.' whispered Moona in my head.

he whispered. I looked up and saw the inviting blue sky, urging me to have some more fun today. "There are so many bad memories in this place," I said. "So it's better for me to leave." Exactly. Even though I'm gazing at this beautiful sky above me, the horrifying scenes keep replaying in my mind over and over again. Sleeping at night is the worst, as nightmares never fail to haunt me. It's hard to breathe and even harder to cry when my tears have run dry.

A voice echoed across the battlefield, ancient and powerful: "The White Luna shall rise when the world stands at the brink. She will unite the children of night and moon, or she will destroy them all. The choice is hers, and hers alone." The white wolf turned to look at me, and I saw my own face reflected in those silver-blue eyes. Then it lunged. I woke up screaming, my hands clutched to my chest, my heart pounding so hard it hurt. My alarm clock read 3:47 AM. Isabella was pounding on the wall from her room next door. "Maya? You okay?" "Fine!" I called back, my voice shaky. "Just a nightmare!" "That's the third one this week! You sure you don't want to talk about it?"

GRAY When morning comes, I wake feeling more relaxed and rested than I have in ages. This was the first good night of sleep that I’ve had in… I don’t even know how long. I’m often plagued with nightmares replaying the shadow pack’s attack on mine, of my mother screaming at me to get away as she was torn down. Needless to say, I don’t get much sleep after those nightmares rear their ugly head- but last night, they didn’t come.

Ruby. The word whispered back to me. The way Drayan had said it, soft but edged with recognition. Like my eyes weren’t just mine, but something he already knew. I squeezed them shut, hating the thought. When I finally drifted into sleep, it wasn’t rest. I had a terrible nightmare. Dark, heavy ones. A woman with ruby eyes like mine, only older, sadder. Blood dripping from her lips. There was a blade connected to her stomach as she stared at me with pain.

It was endless, she was screaming until she found herself incapable of breathing. She woke up gasping for air and frantically observed her surroundings. *Sigh* It was the same nightmare, again. Her breathing became normal but the fear that crept inside her was increasing with the passing time. This nightmare was like a ticking bomb, it could blast any moment of her life because she was unaware of the timer. ••••••••••

This guy couldn’t be serious could he? “Nightmare Demons were slaughtered as a race decades ago because one of them crossed a line with someone dangerous, and when they figured out what had been done, demons everywhere realized how dangerous they really were. Waking is a very sensitive state. One where you are subject to any real manipulation,” he continued. “I won’t keep getting into all that. I’m just going to say that while something is blocking Amy from connecting in her dreams, and likely something is happening to her when she’s awake - it’s really unlikely anyone has thought to block her during the transition of those two - the Waking.”
