Walking Away with Grace

Walking Away with Grace

“Nikolai, my birthday cake was accidentally knocked over today. Could you pick up a new one for me on your way over? Otherwise, my birthday won’t be complete…” Nikolai narrowed his eyes in slight annoyance, yet his body betrayed him as he immediately turned and walked toward the door. But just before stepping out, he paused. “I’ll be back soon. Don’t be so petty, Vivienne.” Before I could say something, the door clicked shut, and he was gone. The sound of his retreating footsteps echoed in the empty hallway, a stark reminder of how easily I had been replaced. He didn't even realize that his petty wife had already packed her heart away.

Walked Into My Wife’s Wedding

Walked Into My Wife’s Wedding

“Come here, girl.” Damn it, Claire really didn’t know how she got herself in this situation. This is supposed to be her first time meeting her mother-in-law, but no one has told her it would be like this! “Jake, if you had told me all these earlier, I would have gladly married you.” Claire regretted her choice, but it was all too late. She slowly walked to my mom’s side. It took Claire quite some time to reach my mom even though it was less than ten meters away.

FORBIDDEN: HIS PLUS SIZE OBSESSION

FORBIDDEN: HIS PLUS SIZE OBSESSION

The walk to the café was supposed to take thirty-five minutes. I had been doing it for months now—every morning, to help with my weight loss journey. But this morning, I wasn’t thinking about any of that. All I had in my head was Mitch’s voice. "Let’s open our marriage." My feet moved on their own. Left. Right. Left. Right. My eyes stared straight ahead but saw nothing. The world was a blur of gray sidewalks, gray buildings, and gray sky.

tread cautiously if you are a plus sized woman or sensitive in any way. Basically the whole story is just dedicated to graphic depictions of domestic abuse & brutal marital rape (the author dedicates multiple chapters to this and also to male lead POV where he cheats on his wife while insulting her)

Hunting for Midnight

Hunting for Midnight

“You need to eat first. You wouldn’t have the strength to make it half a mile from here on foot. It’s also storming again.” Now that he has mentioned the weather, I can hear the sound of heavy rain on the roof. Fucking wonderful. “So then drive me. I’ll pay you for you for it.” I offer. With a dry laugh, Walker picks an imaginary piece of lint from the shoulder seam of his crisp, white high-collared shirt. “The roads wash away when it rains like this. Traveling is dangerous. We can wait until the rain subsides.” Ugh. Fine. I need to appease him until I get a chance to escape. Then I’m gone. Without warning, my traitorous stomach loudly growls. Walker hears it and smirks, turning away to retr

A vow of hate

A vow of hate

It was officially day one of our ‘rebrand’ mission, as I had so graciously named it. Christian and I were getting ready for our first real date, and just to put it out there, there was nothing normal about this. Aside from the obvious elephant in the room being that I was going on a date with a man that would waste no time lodging a knife in my neck if given the opportunity, I was also going on a date with a man who was super meticulous and obsessed over every tiny little detail. Which is why I was currently getting ready with the help of a team of hairstylists, makeup artists and a wardrobe stylist. I’d been on dates before, and I usually just picked out whatever decent looking dress I coul

My Luna? Never!

My Luna? Never!

I didn't know what to do even as walked sluggishly. I could see it now. Valerie was regretting her decision to walk with me to the packhouse. She was now too worn to even stand right, we have walked for 4 hours approximately. In the beginning, she was excited for the adventure to get to the packhouse on foot not mow it was over. Veda was sitting right in the middle of the road, with her legs stretched as she was groaning in pain lightly.

The Rejected Luna's Second Chance

The Rejected Luna's Second Chance

The trees are still, and the birds are quiet. “Clear.” We step outside. The forest is cold but warmer than the cave. I shiver and wrap my arms around myself. “Car’s west. Two miles.” “Can you walk?” “I can crawl if I have to.” He almost smiles again. “Let’s not do that.” We start moving. Later, the walk is slow. My knee aches, but I don’t say anything. Caden stays close enough to catch me if I stumble. We don’t talk.

Prophecy Of The Lycan Queen

Prophecy Of The Lycan Queen

He walked like a man with a destination in mind, his steps confident and sure, while Callie struggled to keep up behind him. Her legs were beginning to burn. Not terribly, but she could feel the strain in her thighs and calves. They'd been walking for what seemed like forever, though it probably hadn't been more than twenty or thirty minutes. Still, it felt endless. The path stretched on ahead of them, winding through trees and around rocks, always leading somewhere she couldn't quite see.

MY STEPBROTHERS, MY RUIN

MY STEPBROTHERS, MY RUIN

He went back to making his tea with the patience that was one of the most remarkable things about him — the understanding that the timing of a thing mattered as much as the thing, that the right moment and the right ask were inseparable. He was fifteen years old. He already knew this. On a Saturday in March, the four adults walked the property. Their October walk had been about the year’s turning. This walk was different — the same circuit, the garden and the orchard and the birch stand and the field’s edge, but the air of it entirely different. The first real warmth in it. The first suggestion that the root work of winter was about to become the above-ground work of spring. They walked in t

GRAVE DESIRES: FATED MATES

He tested it, though. “I’m thinking of going out with a couple of friends this weekend,” Walker said, watching her gaze, “Road trip to Gideon.” “Who’s going?” “Me, Connie, Chet, Chad, Leah, and Crystal.” Now it was her turn to narrow her eyes. “How fitting. Three couples. Crystal and Chad, Leah and Chet...” Roxie shook her head, “You and Connie..” “Jealous?” “No.” “Any way, I want it to be you—not her.”
