“Damon will drive us.” My stomach dropped. Carl noticed. His eyes glimmered with something unreadable — amusement? Suspicion? Calculation? “You don’t mind, do you?” he asked. “No,” I whispered. “Good.” He patted my cheek lightly before walking away. Good. Because he wasn’t asking. I dressed quickly — silk blouse, fitted trousers, hair neatly pinned — the kind of polished, wealthy wife look Carl liked. Elegant but not noticeable. Perfect but forgettable. Damon was waiting by the car.

She gave me fond pats and excused herself from my presence, saying she wanted to prepare for the dinner. “Haew!!” I breathed out in relief, as I walked towards my room because I think it’s right time for me to dress up. I walked towards my room and settled on a red suit, before wearing a white shirt and a white pants. He curled his hair one side and smiled at the mirror before combing it into that style. I sprayed my perfume before walking out of the room, feeling myself. I and Carl met downstairs and decided to wait for his mummy. “You look dashing son,” I complimented him and he smiled. He had slept off a while ago but woke up on his own when it was time for him to dress up for the dinner.

I whispered, scrambling for clothes. Nick yanked on his briefs and got sweatpants from his room while I threw on an oversized hoodie and shorts, trying desperately to look like I hadn’t just been railed twice in the last hour. He had picked this style of fashion because he was fed up with the conventional tuxedo which people usually wear to grace the occasion.

Carl walked over to the bed and picked up one of the clothing that was laid out on it. "Here, the women soldier attire. Put it on, so we can leave now." I nodded and hastily took it from him. I stripped and slipped the dress on immediately. It was a perfect fit and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I was reminded of my days as the second commander. I wore an attire like this and I couldn't help but reminisce. "Are you ready? Let's go," Carl said. I turned to him and saw that he was already dressed and the outfit suited him too well. I nodded and he made the first move to the door. I followed closely behind him, until we left the room.
