The next morning, I see him. Troy. He’s walking in with the leaders. So, he’s now hunting his own kind for the humans. And he thought he was Alpha material. I can’t help the snarl that starts in my chest. One of the warriors puts his hand on my shoulder. My head whips around as I bare my teeth. “Alpha. If you attack him now, we won’t be able to help all these supes. We all hate him, but we need to keep our heads.”

It's the brown haired guy. “What are you doing?” he asks, “Are you trying to get yourself killed?” “Get your hands off me,” I try to pull my hand away from him with no luck. “My name is Troy. I’m trying to help you, just follow me.” He starts to walk down the hall. “Why should I trust you? I don’t even know you?” I take my foot and trip him, making him fall and letting go of my hand.

His body shivered dramatically before he said, "I've just got a death threat from an Omega. And she's a whore. Wow, spooky." Then, he dusted his uniform and walked away without looking back. Troy wanted to chase him, but I pulled him back into the car. "I can't believe that you let him walk away like that! He's such a nasty creature!" Troy protested indignantly. "What are you going to do?" I asked. Troy started the car reluctantly and mumbled, "I'm not sure. I'm thinking of bashing his head against the tombstone before pulling his arms off. Then, I might want to shove his arms into his ass. Do you have any better suggestions?"

’ … After sending Philip back, Troy returned to his villa. Tonight had been an eye-opener for him! He did not expect Young Master Clarke to be so brave! As expected of the young master of the Clarke family! Troy sat in the living room at this moment, discussing strategies for stabilizing the overall situation with several of his confidants. Suddenly, a blood-covered underling rushed in from the door and fell to the floor. He shouted, “Master Crow, someone is here to trash…” Before he finished speaking! In the direction of the doorway, a burly figure walked in with a steady pace while carrying thunderous killing intent!

Devin sighed and gave me a pity look. “He’ll come around.” He assured me. “In the meantime, it’s a beautiful day and the sun is up. You wanna go for a walk?” he asked and shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal, only if he knew what he just did. He just invited a vampire for a walk, in the sun. Good thing I’m a day lighter. “Sure.” I said and stood up from the chair I was seated. “So, what do you wanna talk about?” He asked swinging his arms beside him while staring at my face making me a little more uncomfortable than I already am.

Eric immediately cleared his throat. "Hey Leo, how was your day?" A sinking feeling seeped into Leona but she wouldn't let herself get paranoid. She was just overthinking. It just a friendly gesture... nothing more to it. "It was alright.. how did the hill go?" Leona replied. "Eric fell on the mudslide and pulled me with him. We ended up fighting on the ground like bloody pigs." Debby giggled. Eric seemed uncomfortable with Debby telling Leona this. "We showered though.. in the rain. Might catch a cold!" Debby added.

I knew his dying wish was probably that he get to see Tully die, I wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction, but he’d be next no doubt. My demon kneeled before him and placed his hand on his scarred chest. The vamp had no soul to take, but I would ensure there was no way to resurrect his body. I took my other hand and quickly shoved it in his mouth, jerking it back. His head ripped off and I blew on it, igniting it.

He was thinking about how he was going to start his conversation and I had plenty of time with me. “The parks, they are under attack by something and we don’t know what. It is not a vampire but we started to see dead bodies in the woods with an inscription on their bodies. It was a spiral sign and it was dug into the bodies with a sharp and long claw. I fled my park and came here so that these things don’t find me and kill me there.” I sighed. “Who are you?” I asked again with more emphasis. “Troy. My name is Troy and I have come here to seek refuge.”

The purple sky turned blood-red as the assault began. Troy ran at the front of the formation, his hybrid form tearing through shadow wolves like they were made of paper. His claws ripped through dark fur and bone, his teeth found throats, and his legs carried him forward, always forward, toward the East Tower where Elaina was dying.

I asked. "I killed him. Chase is dead.... he may not be after you anymore Lu. You're free" Troy stated and I gasped, feeling tears begin rolling down my cheeks. "He's... he's without a doubt gone?" I requested in shock. "Yes... he is really gone" Troy smiled. "I'm happy that I ought to get that jerk before he had the chance to harm you again". I leapt at Troy and wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss. "Thank you" I said breathlessly when I subsequently broke the kiss.
