"To prove your worth," the Alpha announced, "you must defeat one of my strongest warriors in combat. No weapons. No tricks. Just strength and skill." A murmur spread through the crowd as a massive werewolf warrior stepped forward—his fur dark as the night, his muscles rippling with power.

Major clans did take a lot of the resources, but that was so that they could give excellent warriors the chance to become strong.
