My hands moved before my mind could catch up, shifting my weight, dodging the strike, and knocking her to the ground with a controlled push.
The courtyard fell silent. Even the wind seemed to pause.
Selene scrambled to her feet, eyes blazing. “You think you’re ready?” she spat.
“I think you underestimate me,” I said calmly.
Her lips twisted into a sneer. “We’ll see.”
Ronan stepped closer, positioning himself between us. “Enough,” he said, his voice low but carrying authority. “This isn’t your fight to decide, Selene.”
