Chapter 6 : Dawn of Uncovering The TV screen at the police station was showing a documentary about a case of missing person. The reporter was expertly detailing the events that led to the uncovering of the mysteries surrounding the disappearance. He emphasized that the success of solving the case is due to the unwavering cooperation of witnesses and the victim's family as well as the devotion of the police force led by Detective Ian Murray. Detective efforts were praised but Ian felt hollow. He felt tired, the file in his hands seemed to be heavy . His mind is in fog ,his mysterious caller also left a message. the first man said. “I’m not a demon, or a criminal, or whatever else you think I am. My name is Jade and I am from Senales City. This morning, I was in the National Museum looking at the Chinese exhibit, and then I saw a painting move. Then, something growled and I tried to touch the painting, but then there was a flash of lightning and when I opened my eyes I was here!” The men exchanged looks and started to murmur amongst themselves. Then, one by one, they started to leave.

Chapter 26 LEENA'S POV The door burst open! Max ran in accomplished by armed men. I didn't know if I was to be relieved or even more anxious. "Don't move!",they commanded. I looked at Zuoka,the monster was smiling at me,the gun still pointed to my head. Slowly I turned to Max and shook my head. He'd shot if they moved an inch. "Dark.....it's all dark...",he whispered on. Max stopped the men from moving to avoid him shooting me.

Blake smirked, gesturing at Jasmine’s cousin who was currently clenching his fists, standing a few feet away, watching us. “Wulfric, if anything happens to my mate, I just want you to know that I will behead you without hesitation.” Alex scowled at Blake. “Relax, Adalwolf. Nothing is going to happen. I’m going to gather all my best warriors to go with my beta to keep watch. And then you and I will sneak over the border.” “Why me?” “Because we’re the only two people I know who have a high tolerance to wolfsbane. So if we get shot, we’re the most likely to survive.”

We don't have to look far. A guardsman stands off to the side holding his shattered arm. The club that dealt Vi (and me) the blow is on the floor, Vi's fur and blood a matted mess on the splintered wood. Wood. Thank Goddess it wasn't silver or me and Vi would be unlikely to ever make it to our feet again. The guardsman looks at us with frightened eyes. I pad backwards and the circle around me draws in too. A circle of snarling young wolves encircles me, facing outwards toward the stunned guardsmen. The biggest of these young wonlves stands directly in front of me, her slender haunches trembling. I sniff and recognize the faint smell of my own pack, Firewolf.

As if that wasn’t enough, Mane could sense from the auras of those in the pillars that not only were they powerful, they were of different races. “The Watchers,” Mane gritted his teeth in rage. He had asked for a favor, but what he received was no favor.

Mine is a human male’s face hidden in the shadows, half of the face is complete with the crimson light of vengeance in one eye and the other half is the skeletal face of the male with an empty eye socket. Some of my other tattoos are pretty vicious-looking, and some hold what I’d like to think are the fractured parts of my soul. The security monitor mounted on my wall chirps a moment later, warning me that someone is outside my door. Entering my security code, I come face to face with the person on the other end. It’s Hunter Cohen; he’s one of the Confradia techs helping us hunt down Willem Kazik.

Hunter roared menacingly causing the guy to piss his pants. "I'll f*cking kill him!" He boomed, ripping the throat of that guy. The shifted wolves charged at him but Silvia raised two wolves in the air ripping them into shreds as blood spurts out and for those few seconds it felt like a rain of blood. Rachael watched horrified. This wasn't the scared little Silvia she knew. Luca was injured and Lennox got two wounds as well. Hunter wasn't hurt yet. Rachael attacked Hunter and Silvia charged forward to protect him. In doing so she got to her feet on the ground only for something invisible to grasp her feet and the next thing a portal opened behind her and someone stepped out of it.

He carried a staff adorned with glowing runes, his violet eyes sharp and calculating. “Arinthal Starweaver,” Ramon continued, his tone laced with tension. “The Great Wizard.” The last figure emerged silently, his presence more menacing than the others. His jet-black armor absorbed the moonlight, and his golden eyes gleamed with predatory intent. “Kaiden Nightwalker,” Ramon growled. “The Rogue Alpha.” Jasmine’s knees nearly buckled under the weight of their combined auras, but she refused to back down. Something inside her, the ancient presence that had been stirring, rose to the surface, pushing away her fear.
