It was her way of telling her to shut up because I was not her type. “That obvious, huh?” “Clyve is our guest at the cabin.” “Yeah, that’s right. I’m their guest.” “She never brought someone around. Except for Keene. So, Clyve, how’s your stay so far, honey?” “Great. Looking forward to exploring more of the secrets of this town.” My way of referring Westley as the town. I left them when they started babbling something I could not quite grab on. “You work here, Westley?” I sauntered to the fiction section, pulling out a book by a best-selling mystery/thriller author from the shelf.

His Outcast Mate (Book 4: The 'His' Series

His Outcast Mate (Book 4: The 'His' Series

Behind closed doors, I’m just useful. Aiden didn’t say anything either. He just told Adrian my talents. That was it. I’m an asset. I thought we would be family. I thought I would have a family. Do Isaiah and Kaia look at me the same way? I don’t want to find out. I’m getting out of this pack. I grabbed my laptop bag, threw on a change of clothes, and grabbed my phone. I pushed through my soreness and ran out of the pack house before anyone saw me and tried to stop me.

Love the story. I was so gutted for Adrian and Amber. Not sure why, but their story really got to me and made me sad. I wish both could have had their own happy ending or figured it out. But I’m happy that Adrian moved on with Sinclair and they are happy. Looking forward to the ending.

Ditched in the Desert I Chose the Coast

Ditched in the Desert I Chose the Coast

On the day of our graduation trip, my boyfriend Roman, a mafia heir, and his childhood friend Clara left me stranded on the side of a deserted highway. Their off-road vehicle had been driving for over half an hour before they even noticed the back seat was empty. When Roman called, there was no panic in his voice, only a hint of irritation. "Blair, why didn't you get back in the car?" "Stop messing around. We're rushing to the canyon to catch the sunset. We don't have time to go back and get you." "Figure out a way to hitch a ride here yourself." Through the receiver, Clara's amused voice came through loud and clear. "She's not a three-year-old girl. She can't expect you to wait on he

Lady of the dirt track

Lady of the dirt track

My favourite dangerous place. Greg points at me, knowing what I am like in this place. “Fifteen minutes.” I grin if that's how he wants to play it. Oh, baby, challenge accepted. We wander through the shops. I drift toward the books immediately. I need my on-flight reading material. After standing and staring for longer than necessary, I pick up West of Forever by Corinne Michaels. Greg appears beside me, holding a magazine. “Found mine.” I look at the magazine and tsk to myself. Of course, Greg would want this reading material. “Just MotoX?”

The Outcasts

The Outcasts

"Deal?" "Okay." I had said with a nod. Cyrus walked around me and toward the door, he paused and looked back at me. "Keep in mind that there could be others like us out there." He warned but his tone was calm like he knew what he was talking about. I gave another nod and waved goodbye. Ch 7

Coming Out of the Deep

Coming Out of the Deep

“Yeah, there’s a spot just outside the stadium. I’ll come with—” But I was already looking past him. At Kairos. Reed followed my gaze, and without missing a beat, he nodded. “You go out the west exit, hang left; it’s by the practice fields.” On cue, Kairos stood up, and I was halfway through realizing I had left my wallet in the locker with my bag when he spoke. “I’ve got you,” he said, and I turned to everyone, asking if anyone wanted me to grab something for them. One guy said, "Water, please," already reaching for his wallet. Normally, I would have told him I had him, but since Kairos was paying, I took the cash. The rest did not want anything.

Out of Home, Out of Heart

Out of Home, Out of Heart

"Ms. Hawthorn, I'm happy to inform you that you've passed our interview. You're welcome to join the school anytime." "Alright," I replied. "Considering your condition, would you like me to request a delayed start on your behalf?" "Thank you, but no. I can't wait even one more day." After ending the call, I drove back to the hotel and packed my things, leaving for the Stormcrest pack under the cover of night. Before deactivating my phone number, I sent one last message to Lucas. "Please take good care of Finn." From that moment on, the Moonhowl pack had nothing to do with me.

CLAIMED BY THE BILLIONAIRE

CLAIMED BY THE BILLIONAIRE

“Felt. And I know. It’s the only way.” We reached the station, crowds spilling onto the sidewalk. Isa handed cash to the driver, and we slipped into the sea of people. The departures board flickered above us. Trains westbound, one after another. My pulse quickened. “There.” I pointed at the late-night line. “Westbound. We take it. We don’t stop until Montana.” Isa hesitated, looking me over as if searching for cracks in my resolve. “You’re sure?” I met her eyes. “I’m sure.”

An Exit Without Goodbye

An Exit Without Goodbye

Go see the world, take a break, you deserve it. He cleared his throat, the smile fading. "We're going to be sharing our lives, and I really hope you won't hold any grudges against her." He's probably worried I would not play nice with Wendy down the line. However, hey, if he's offering me a ticket to anywhere, maybe it's not such a bad idea to just not come back, I thought. After Chester saw I was not upset, he left me with a few parting words. I grabbed my bag and started packing – a few clothes, the essentials. I was there for over twenty years, and it felt like home.

Slightly Lazy, Evil, Carefree Cultivator (Book 1)

He was almost a ghoul at this point but stayed alive be eating medicinal medicines like carrots. "We should focus on the West front and the North. The South Empire is nothing." Elder Coli said in a crisp voice. "The North Empire has gotten quiet and is up to something. Considering their involvement those years ago in wiping out the village, we need to be cautious. I say deploy to the west to gain favor with the Royal Family." "Very well." The Patriarch gestured to some other elders to delegate it. Instantly 400 Elders left the hall. "About Lan Kung and Lan Mei."
