I say to Cassian, who gestures for me to pick up. “Katrina.” He whispers. “What’s wrong?” I whisper, “Alpha Wayne is dead,” he says, My body is tense. “What?” “Yes. He was attacked by dark ones an hour ago. Where you are, find the closest ally and stay there,” he growls. “We are close to snowpack. We will head there,” I say to him “Good. Guard him with your life,” he growls before cutting the call. “What’s wrong?” Cassian asks me.

She said as she handed them the sticks that they never even noticed she was holding. They used the sticks to clear the path way and they all walked right into the tunnel. Where they saw a bed and some food supplies on top of the bed. " I see you guys made it past the wolfsbane." Darren said and they all turned to face him. " Is this all of you? Just Kimmel, Kyle, Kayla and Dean? That's very insulting." He said as he plopped on the bed and burst open a Dorito with his claws. Kyle knew it wasn't Darren and he had a good feeling that the rest of them realized it too. Darren wasn't very proud of his vampire side, he wouldn't just exhibit that side of him so easily.

Wayne leads us to his room. We get to the door and my heart aches immediately. His body is badly mangled, and his left arm is missing. The stump is bandaged and I sigh deeply but Ryan is right, he’s alive and that’s what matters. I grab a chair and pull it next to his bedside and Dr. Wayne smiles, “He should be waking up soon.” I nod, squeezing his hand and Ryan sits beside me.

Wayne looked up and saw some of his uncle's warriors part side by side, creating a path for him to pass. Waylon walked to the rails of the upper level and glared down at him. "From what I see your numbers have dwindled down a great deal. Not that you stood a chance before, anyway," he sneered to the soldiers on the same level with him, that were held ransom at sword point. "So, what will it be Wayne, surrender yourself or watch your men's heads fall to the ground. Your choice," Waylon said nonchalantly.

Surprisingly he understood the human invasions, the silver bullets. Thane’s heart skipped a beat. “Who did you say runs this foundation?” His voice had dropped an octave. Wayne looked up at him. “Justine Anderson.” Roan stepped forward, his expression darkening. “How many more of you are here?” Wayne turned to glance at his fallen comrade lying still on the floor before answering, his eyes clouding over. “There were twelve of us. Commander Harris and eight others should have returned to New York by now. The three of us who were captured didn’t fall back quickly enough when... when the werewolves attacked.”

As if sensing we would need assistance Nick entered the room and injected Wayne with a higher dosage of wolfsbane, within seconds his thrashing had ceased his heart rate slowing as he fell temporarily unconscious. “Jake what the fuck are you doing to him?” Nick asked as he assessed the damage Wayne had endured. “What does it look like? I need answers and I need them now. We already know he passed information over to that bastard of a bloodsucker but how can we be sure he‘s the only one Wayne helped? Wade gasped, jerking in the chamber as he could breathe correctly again. “We don’t believe you. Caleb Cobain saw you go into the dungeons and come back out with Sakina.” I shook my head, folding my arms. Does he honestly think I’m going to believe him?
