I would like to leave” I say, annoyed and worried “Please just wait, let me talk to you, I’m sorry” he begs, but I can’t it must be a trick

"Look, Kristine, there is no need to make a fuss about all of this," Jared finally said, his tone calm and dismissive. He met my eyes with a cold, indifferent gaze, not remorse in anyway.
