We're Simply Meant To Be Novels & Stories

I took a deep breath and started walking the closer I got, the more nervous I got but I had to swallow it up. As I stood the altar, the elders told me to kneel before my people. "LUCAS ALDÉRIC, you kneel here before your people and goddess, are you ready to free your father of his title and take it upon yourself to cater for all the need of your pack, are you ready to be the judge, father, protector, lover, giver and leader of this pack" the leader of the elders spoke "Yes" I said with a deep breath "Are you prepared to be willing to put everyone here before yourself, to be as selfless as you can be"

Teaching love not through words, but through moments like this. We’ve come so far from where we began. And as the stars begin to bloom overhead, I know in my soul, we’re exactly where we’re meant to be. Together.

Was Naza that mean? Khalil nodded at me discreetly and bounced the ball on the ground, "Alright, let's play then." What have I done? I was exhausted. There was a lot of bouncing during practice and I was sad that it wasn't my ass. It was like the players were on steroids with bulging muscles and gleaming sweaty bodies. I breathed out as I jingled the locker room keys in my hands to remind them about hurrying up. They all grumbled and increased their pace, except Khalil who wasn't even among them. I sighed to myself, knowing that deep down, all I wanted was to be in the room alone. Don't get me wrong, my school's shower and locker room were amazingly equipped.

"We're meant to be, you know that? You and me. Forever." The words hung between us like a promise, like the beginning of something that would last the rest of our lives.

Emily's voice was resolute, "We must act with wisdom and compassion, for every being on this tapestry is a part of us, and we are a part of them. Our destinies are woven together, and together we can create a symphony of harmony in the wild." .

We can only be there for them when the time comes. One thing life has taught me is that in life we shouldn't live to please others, live to please ourselves. Do things according to you at your own time, not when someone wants. They are only holding you back, get out there, and do your thing. No matter how hard life gets, remind yourself that someone died today, someone slept with an empty stomach last night, someone achieved their dreams today, someone is on a hospital list hoping to get a kidney and you are lucky to be alive and healthy.

I know it's easy to say but we are all the children of God and we shouldn't disappoint him by giving up. . . . . The End.

I simply let the evening be what it is: not a cage with comfortable bars, not a transaction with a generous settlement, not borrowed time before the next bill arrives. Just this. Just us. Just the firefly rising into the warm dark, pulsing its small faithful light — and all of us, together, watching it go. THE END

I jerked my head in an awkward nod before striding in the direction Merrick had gone. "Why?" someone yelled, their voice louder than the other murmurs and variety of emotional scents clouding the air. "Why bother making it work?" I turned to face the person, scanning the crowd for the source of the question. I couldn’t pinpoint it, but I answered anyway. "Because we belong here," I said simply. "This was meant to be our home." I spread my arms out to the trees. "Can't you feel it? You were drawn here for a reason. This is the place the world intends us to be, and I for one, am not leaving."

Life has for you a special place convenient to you. Begin afresh. For this is not the last but first day for you. Plan today. Plan to work today. Working hands are always for praise. For they create as gods do. May you too work this day too. Amen. Amen to you and all who stand ahead of where in the past they stood. Amen. Come celebrate the you. You enjoy the bloom. You be brave. You be you. You be just you, with no other taste curling down from you. Amen.
