Darius said with a grin, his voice filled with awe.
“But… the gods will curse us,” Ava whispered, fear flickering in her voice.
Achi reached for her hand and squeezed it gently. “Then we’ll curse them too.”
“Erm… okay,” Ava said softly.
Achi turned his back, and immediately, she sensed something strange—an unfamiliar energy pulsing from him.
“Achi, what’s wrong?” she asked, her voice low.
He turned to face her, eyes serious. “My beta just mind-linked me. The Seer wants to see us. Immediately.”
