He smiled. “Inhale my scent and tell me what you smell.”
I looked at him like he was crazy before doing as he’d said. “I don’t know, weird cologne?”
“Myrrh. All Vampires smell like myrrh. Demons smell like a campfire in the distance. The bartender smells like apple cider, telling me she’s a witch. Valkyries smell like blueberry cobbler, and Gargoyles smell like teakwood,” he said, nodding in the direction of different customers to indicate what they were and finally pointing back to me for the Valkyrie.
