What Happened To Derek In Save The Last Dance 2 นิยาย & เรื่องราว

No more than that. When I return, he’s already standing. I pause. He’s watching me in that way that makes the world go still. That way that tells me he’s not here for dinner anymore. That he never really was. Derek takes the glass from my hand, but instead of drinking, he sets it on the console behind him. Then, with a slow, deliberate motion, he reaches out and takes my free hand in his. “Dance with me.” It’s not a question. It’s barely even a request.

I asked, carefully scrutinizing the public. Nobody’s eavesdropping on us. “Uhm…” Another paused, Derek’s eyes averted around us, and then leaning down he whispered slowly, “I’ve no idea what you’re talking about…” HAH !! His honest confession sent butterflies to my stomach and I giggled carelessly, taking everyone’s attention on us. By the time I got sobered, Derek had already left the dancefloor with a sullen face while I remained clueless as to where did he go?

She tried to digress from the actual discourse and confuse Kelly but unfortunately for her, it wasn't working. Ciara had no idea that Kelly had come fully prepared for her as though he knew she was going to bring in a man home to have sex with. Kelly walked away without uttering a word. His sudden departure brought smiles to Ciara's face again as he held her chest and sighed. "Wow! It's good to see that he's finally gone. That was so close. I never thought I would be free from that shock," She proceeded to check the back door and confirm if Derek had left his hiding place. Fortunately for her, Derek was nowhere to be found. It could only mean one thing; he was gone for good.

“I'll explain everything.” “No!” Daven yelled. “There's no explaining what you've done! There's only… death!” Daven launched himself towards me, and then time froze. Or at least it froze for them. Daven was paralyzed mid-air with a battle cry caught in his throat, and the recovering wolf of Daisy was just rising from where she had fallen… was this Derek's doing? “Let's get out of here…!” Derek suddenly turned and grabbed my hand. Before I could say anything else, he swept me clean off my feet and, with a mighty leap, he crashed through the window, sending splinters of wood and shards of glass all over the place.

We pulled away breathless and giggling, just like our first kiss. “Too late for that, don’t you think?” I asked, stroking his cheek and wondering why the hell I had mistaken this wonderful kiss and this wonderful man for Jack? We swayed together to the soft song until small hands tugged at Derek’s leg. Lily had escaped from Richard, Derek’s father’s arms, and toddled onto the dance floor, her little arms reaching up and demanding to be held. Without missing a beat, Derek scooped her up. She squealed with delight, and suddenly we were dancing as three… or four.

"I've lost everything—my pack, my territory, my status. You're the only one who can save me now." His shameless declaration made me laugh out loud at the sheer audacity. "You want me to save you? After everything you put me through?" Derek's expression twisted with sudden hysteria. "You once loved me most! But you betrayed our bond by mating with someone else! You might have been involved with him all along, you faithless—" The resounding slap I delivered cut off his words and left my palm completely numb. The sound echoed across the hospital entrance, drawing curious stares from passersby.

"I need to see it." Reluctantly, Lucas stepped back, and James returned with a phone. My stomach twisted as I took it from him. The moment I hit play, my breath caught in my throat. The video was unmistakable. Derek was kissing a woman in the lounge, and when they stopped, they disappeared into the restroom. I tried to keep calm, but the second kiss, then the third with two different women—each time in the same place—shattered me. But the last one? The final woman? I stared at the screen, my mind reeling.

This time, I didn’t even need to look. I told Chris I was going to help clear some plates. He nodded sweetly and squeezed my hand. “Don’t be long, babe. I want to dance with you before it gets too late.” I almost cried right there. Derek waited for me in the shadows beside the house, half-hidden by tall bushes. The second I got close he grabbed my wrist and yanked me against him. His mouth crashed down on mine, rough and demanding. Both hands slid straight to my ass, squeezing hard as he backed me against the wall.

Derek froze. Today was his Mating Ceremony. Why would she destroy everything and leave? Unless she knew. He shoved the thought down. Derek texted: [Aria. Where are you. Ceremony is starting.] I replied: [Getting ready. See you there.] He let out a breath. Probably Damon's prep work. He sent: [Where's Victoria's song?] Me: [Almost done. I'll send it to her myself.] Two hours later. I stood in front of a tall mirror.

After we've gone through the first and second dresses, a man walked in. His presence caught the attention of every single person in the room. My bride turned around, and her eyes widened. "Aww, my darling Derek," she screamed, rushing down from the pedestal and into his arms. "What took you so long?" At the mention of the name Derek, I turned instantly, and there he was. Derek Lansky, my best friend in the entire world standing right in the salon where I worked, in the flesh. Derek had changed, but not as I expected. He was taller now. Had more of a defined face, broader chest, wide shoulders, and muscular arms.
