Novel & Cerita What Lurks Between The Fates

The thought of her being dormant was too hard to accept. "No, I'll be here with you but resting. That's all." saying she got up from my lap. "Lia, remember. I'll always be there for you in your decisions and you are much more than what you think. Be brave." she said walking away. She turned back to me. "I'm ready to shift one more time" "huh? shift? for what?" I questioned. But before I could hear her, my surroundings started to get foggy, then black.

You’d think more people would be hesitant to find their fated mates, considering what happened to the previous generation, but I guess the possibility of eternal love and happiness clouds peoples’ rationality. The last two months, Vinny’s pack, The Forza Nelle Tenebre, aka Forza Pack, and Dare’s pack, The Running River Pack, have taken turns hosting full moon runs. A bunch of my pack members have traveled to these events and about fifty of them found their fated mates within the other packs. Small fuckin’ world, right?

It was nobody’s business. “What is confusing is that nobody has experienced the pull of the fated mate bond in over 20 years, since the onset of the Fated Plague. There have been no documented mate bonds other than chosen bonds.” Dr. Richard said, pulling me from my thoughts. “Daya… we need you to be honest. Do you have a fated mate?” He asked plainly. Can I lie? Clearly, my fated mate is around this pack and doesn’t care about me. He never tried to find me and now he is having sex with other women to torture me.

Jamari’s POV Clotho and her sister’s eyes continue to glow during a very tense couple of minutes of silence. Or in two of their cases, their empy eye sockets are what glows eerily. We all sit quietly as we wait for the Fates to return from whatever trance like state they have been in for the last few minutes.

The ground quivered underneath my feet. I noticed Sienna chanting as well. Several undead armies slipped out of the cracks in the ground. “Kill them, kill her.” She thundered with blazing eyes. “Immotus!"(Motionless) Maya yelled. "Praetervolo!"(Vanish) The armies halted, then vaporised one after the other. “N-noo. T-this can't be.” Sienna stuttered. The people I had called on appeared. They each touched my shoulder, and with each caress, I felt a power surge.

But I want you to go with me I want them to know you are claimed , Eryx looked at me for a few seconds " ok but we are not fated and am scared you know I don't like social interaction" I assured nothing is going to happen to him ,And as we held each other close, letting the night stretch around us, I couldn’t shake the feeling that tomorrow would change everything. Something was coming—something I couldn’t see yet—but I would recognize it the moment it arrived. I shrugged it off assuring my self that everything in my life is perfect I have ERYX we don't have to fated to be with each other .

She clung to his arm as they made their way up to the front of the room, her laughter ringing out like a siren’s call. What the hell? I felt my breath catch in my throat, the sight of them together sending a jolt of confusion through me. Who the f*ck is that? My heart sank, a mix of disappointment and jealousy swirling within me. I tried to shake it off, reminding myself that I was his fated mate, not hers. Lori agreed, reassuring me that she was probably just a friend of his. Yet, the pang of unease was undeniable. Friends do not cling to their arms unless, of course, they are both females.

“You ask a question that unravels the floor beneath it.” The Oath-Keeper leaned forward, golden cords at his wrists humming faintly. “What did Fate say? This council is bound when the Loom speaks.” Bound. A pretty word. A useful lie. I descended the final stairs and stepped into the speaking circle, its moonstone veined with silver that never tarnished. I set my palm upon it and felt, faintly, the pull of seas, wolves, and women who prayed in silence. “The Loom is… unsettled,” I said. “Threads near the Hollowflame fray. The Black Root presses. And Fate—”

He changes the slide again and takes a deep, steadying breath. “The role of fate's representatives is to keep fate on track, as we know. Your role appears to be the backup plan. The one to manage and police them should those representatives go off track. The fate reps only receive information about the specific area they are intended to manage, life, death, and so on. They mostly get visions about the things that they need to fix, if something gets messed up in the natural order. Don’t ask me how that works, it is way above my pay grade.” Alex comments drily before continuing.

"The prophecies speak of a convergence a point where destinies align and choices are made." Elena leaned over another scroll, her eyes scanning the words intently. "And here, it mentions a 'veil between worlds,' which might be a reference to the phenomenon we witnessed." Kael joined the investigation, his eyes darting across various scrolls. "If we piece these clues together, it's as if the threads of fate are indeed being woven or rewoven, perhaps by an external force." As they delved deeper into the prophecies, a pattern emerged. The verses spoke of a time when the realm would be tested, when darkness would seek to breach its borders. But within that darkness lay the potential for transfor
