It got easy to read once I overcame the block in my head. “Holy shit.” I gasped, reading a few lines in the book. “Holy freaking shit.” I sat up, reading the lines more times just to be sure I read it correctly. I had just read Estelle’s identity, and a lot of things suddenly made sense. I saw it coming, but at the same time, I wouldn't have seen it.

The font is small, and the paragraphs are long. I skim the first page, but none of it sticks. My eyes slide along the words like they’re buttered. Not even remotely. “What kind of joke is this?” I muttered under my breath. I flipped through a few more pages for good measure, but there was nothing. Arpit and I are fond of novels, while he loves to read horror, I am a mystery-thriller fan.
