Alpha Ares

Alpha Ares

“You didn’t mention this.” He paled. “I didn’t know. Your parents – they haven’t told us that. And we don’t hear the gossip the way we used to.” His eyes crinkled sadly, brown and rheumy and yet still so like my dad’s that my heart ached. “When I was young, everyone knew everything.” “Yeah,” I said sadly. “But that’s changed.” “Nobody knows who to trust anymore.”

This story was absolutely amazing! So many emotions. I do have a question, will there be a continued story about nazte and cen? I just feel like they should have a story about starting over/forgiveness.

This book had me on the verge of anger, laughter, intrigue, sadness and long last releasing a breath of relief and joy. Beautifully woven into this wonderful story was a great understanding of human behavior through a myriad of emotions that kept me reading on until the end.

The Reunion

The Reunion

he said with a slight air of mystery, “Where’s the fun in knowing? It’s great how it is right now, isn’t it?” She gazed right into his eyes, truly unable to read whatever it was he was thinking or feeling at that moment. Only a strange atmosphere of confusion surrounded them. Knowing yet not knowing. Pushing or pulling? Perhaps none. That’s one of the disadvantages when experiencing love at such a young age. Your gut told you that it was right there and yes, there was definitely something going on. Yet your brain tried to counter that with a logical explanation, even finding concrete evidence that THAT something was most certainly not stinking the entire place. “You’re right,” she agreed, de

Diagnosis: Love

Diagnosis: Love

"Hmmm. So you're assuming this what your grandparents, your friends, and maybe your co-workers feel? Do you remember what happens when we assume, Deacon?" I didn't know how she did it, but I felt like ducking my head and dragging the toe of my sneaker in the dirt like the punk ass kid I'd been once upon a time. "Yes, ma'am. When we assume, we make an ass out of you and me." I'd heard that phrase enough from her and from others in town growing up. "Exactly. And do you further think it's possible that you avoided communicating with your loved ones because you were afraid of hearing what they might have to say-because you assumed it would be negative?" She folded her thin arms and peered up at

Mastering Charlotte

"Why do you say that?" He scratches at sweaty, tousled hair. "There's things you don't know that everyone else does." Her face drops. "Like what?" "Like who Shakespeare was. Even people who don't like reading the stuff have heard of him. Like right and left. Everybody knows things like that." She gulps from the bottle, then, her voice a whisper, "If you see me doing things that everyone knows about, but I don't, will you tell me?" "'Course I will." He frowns at her fallen face. "Don't worry. You'll be fine. I'll look after you."

A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story

A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story

I hate math, but I decided to take a business course to help with the family business. “You cannot do that. It is easy for you to say that because you are young. But when you are already older, you will take back what you said. When you are in your early twenties, you will get tired easily and will just want to sleep all day. Trust me.” I said.

Blood bond to him.

Blood bond to him.

“Please baby girl don’t even put it into thought what she just said.” “What?” “I can tell what that girl just said upset you, and if you weren’t here, I would have put her into her place. Also, I hope you do enjoy the drink that I order for you.” “Yes, but did you forget that I’m only 17 years old and I’m not really old enough to be drinking it.” “Yes, but what they don’t know won’t hurt them.”

The story that he just told was cutting deeper than I thought and I don’t know how to react appropriately. “It’s okay. You’re still young and although I said you have a great insight for a young lad, there’s still a lot of things that you don’t understand. Life is still out there for you to discover and I will say that in everything you do, don’t forget to have fun.”

Craving the alpha soldier

Craving the alpha soldier

It is adjusted. No one calls this progress. They call it learning, reluctantly. Children born after the world’s great unmaking grow up without a sense of before. They do not feel deprived of certainty because they never had it. They inherit systems that wobble slightly, that contradict themselves, that sometimes admit error. To them, this feels normal. They are taught how to think in margins.
