The Moon Chose Me Twice

The Moon Chose Me Twice

The air is crisp, carrying the scent of pine and the distant smoke of a bonfire down in the village. Below me, the pack is gathering. It’s the Summer Solstice festival. The first joint celebration between Silverwood and Bloodmoon. For generations, our packs were neighbors, then rivals, then unwilling allies. Now, looking down at the courtyard, I can’t tell where one pack ends and the other begins. I see Silverwood rangers sharing kegs with Bloodmoon enforcers. I see pups from both territories chasing each other through the gardens, a chaotic tumble of fur and laughter.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

[The Winter Weaver] The first frost arrived on the island not as a threat, but as a quiet transformation. It dusted the jagged basalt cliffs in silver and turned the vegetable garden Panni had labored over into a brittle, frozen architecture. For Jinyan and Panni, the coming of winter was a milestone. It was the first season they had experienced together that wasn't dictated by the heat of a chase or the cold calculations of a merger.

The Queen's Mate

The Queen's Mate

He asked, standing shoulder to shoulder with me as we watched the wildflowers in the field bloom the way the tree had. I could feel the pulse of magic the tree emitted prick against my flesh, sending goosebumps skittering ominously in its wake, "It does. Spring is earth, for obvious reasons. Winter is water. Fire belongs to summer because of the unbearable heat. And, wind belongs to autumn because of the brisk breeze that whistles through the trees carrying loose leaves through the air."

The Alpha's Children - Book 1: Ume

The Alpha's Children - Book 1: Ume

I asked, casually leaning forward to the front to get closer to the heat vents as the truck started to pull away. “Most of the season,” Brandon quickly answered. “We are pretty far north but we do have decent summers. I wish you guys could have made it up for the first snow, it’s a special time for the Crescent Winds.” He added as he drove. I looked across Kreon and out the window at the fresh piles or snow that lined the little road we were on. Now that I wasn’t freezing, I could appreciate the beauty of it all.

The Slave Queen

The Slave Queen

"I have always thought that winter was a majestic season. Everything becomes white and the ground sparkles in the sun like it's made of pure crystal." He is staring into the fire, the glass of wine in his hand. "Winter is when everything dies. There are no leaves on the trees, the warm air has disappeared and the animals seem to run for cover. Winter leaves everything dead." "But…" I twiddle my thumbs awkwardly. "But everything grows back in the springtime. This is the circle of life."

Mastering Charlotte

Then her head leans to rest against my shoulder. .... yeah, she knows.... James, glances sideways at her, his mouth quirking, and looks away again saying nothing. Doesn't he get jealous when he sees that? This isn't the Club.... We leave the City behind, turning off the main highway, and the winter countryside is a sparkling mosaic of frosted grass and sunlit trees, nude of leaves, but still statuesque and lovely in the clear daylight. In direct sunshine, all is green and bright, but away from the sun, the shaded earth lies white and crystalline.

Summer Child

Summer Child

“We can figure all of that out later. For now, what do you say we hit the beach and relax a bit before I take you on a proper date tonight?” Aiden couldn’t help but grin up at him; he could read her better than anyone, had always been able to, with Jessie being a close second. But he somehow had always had a knack for it, had spirited her off on more than one occasion over the years when he caught her getting overwhelmed or too stressed. More often than not, a walk along the shore helped clear her head and redirect her energy and she’d always been grateful for the solid friend she had had in him. Where Jessie was the extrovert, the one who thrived on chaos and overstimulation and fed on it,

Summer Camp

Summer Camp

However, I notice Adonis shamelessly staring at Andrea despite her giving him continuous glares. Finally when the dinner is over, we are called to gather at the big ground behind the restaurant, layed with soft lawn. Soon the first camp meeting begins and we all sit back on the grass, listening to Mr Alberty's welcome speech. After that he asks us to introduce ourselves one by one.

Dark obsessions

Dark obsessions

I knew we were both going to walk because a car can’t pass through this path. “We are almost there.” I announce. I can see the lightnings on the deckhouse from where I’m standing. And I know he can see it as well from the way he nods after he wears the coat I give to him. “The place looks nice.” He mumbles under his breath as we approach the deckhouse. The place looks so different. I used to come with my mother during the summer period and now it's winter, and the snow is covering most of the grass around.

Rebirth: What’s Left Of Me

Rebirth: What’s Left Of Me

{TW: Family violence} The balcony overlooked the sprawling woods, now blanketed in a thick layer of pristine snow. The winter scene was breathtakingly beautiful, with the snow-covered treetops stretching out as far as the eye could see. The silence was profound, broken only by the occasional rustle of a bird or the distant creak of a tree swaying gently in the wind.
