When they pulled apart, Theo ran back toward them, holding up a dandelion puff like treasure.
“Mama! Dada! Look what I made!”
Liora reached for Daniel, her tiny arms stretching upward until he lifted her high into the air. Sophia gathered Theo into her lap, the boy’s laughter bubbling against her shoulder. Around them, the golden light began to fade, the air growing cooler, gentler.
Lena strummed a guitar nearby, her melody soft and nostalgic. Mira joined in, singing off-key on purpose, sending everyone into another round of laughter. The moment swelled with so much joy it almost felt sacred.
