Third Person's POV Emmett's eyes snapped open at the sound of the Delta screaming. Emmett held the blanket closer, not sure what was happening. As he laid there with the blanket tucked under his chin, The noises from the Delta and Alpha continued and became stranger. His curiosity finally gets the best of him, and Emmett quietly climbs out of bed before tiptoeing to the door. "Oh fuck!" Emmet heard Dimitri cry out and he immediately stopped and placed his hand over his mouth, afraid he would make a noise.

----- Reaching his dorm room, Caden snuck his hand around the handle. "He'd better be awake," He grumbled, quietly opening the door in case the other psychic wasn't. Caden stepped into the room to see Emett's gaze fixed on the ceiling, fortunately awake. He breathed a sigh of relief that the older boy was awake. "What took you so long?" Emett turned to face Caden. "I wanted to make sure that you'd actually be awake. We both know how that went last time." Emett furrowed his eyebrows, looking down for a few seconds. He soon began nodding in agreement.

He did a double-take at the rooms peeking at him below the charred border that should have been covered by the roof. Oh, what the fuck? Emmett glanced warily at the car parked beside him. Gritting his teeth, he pushed open the car door and let the fresh air enter his nose. Walking up the front steps, his fingers trembled when they wrapped around the doorframe. “Franklin? It’s Emmett. Emmett Kinley. You . . . you in there, man?”

Far from the clearing. Far from the scorched earth. Far from whatever evidence might still be there. The silence stretched painfully.

Without hesitation, I grab it. I step inside, bracing myself. “Hello?” I call out. My voice is surprisingly calm. A figure steps out from behind a large sculpture near the center of the room. Emmett. I lower the fire extinguisher slightly. “Emmett?” He lifts his hands in a gesture of surrender, a sheepish look on his face. “I didn’t mean to scare you, Imogene.”

Just then I hear the cocking of a shotgun and look over Grace’s shoulder to see him pointing a gun straight at Emmett. I look back at Emmett and see him standing with his hands raised and an amused look on his face.

"So, do you want to come quietly or should we resort to violence?" Everyone present stared at Nathan and the others in shock. While Emmett was waiting for Nathan and the others to make a move, a cold voice could be heard coming from where Nathan was seated. "Emmett, you are so cool!" Emmett was shocked to death when he heard that voice! Emmett widened his eyes in surprise for the person who spoke in the booth sounded like the ferocious Samuel of the big four. However, just when he was about to confirm with the gentleman, Emmett heard another loud but deep voice.
