” I replied. My cheeks were cold as the wind blew across the tear that welled and now poured down my face. I couldn’t find the strength to get back up and walk again so I gave up and flopped down on the ground. I just want to go home!

He said icily, "I'll never fall for Ivy. Not in this lifetime." His friends fell into ease with that, saying with a smile, "Alright, alright. She's probably coming around soon. We should go." Once everyone left, Jason slowly walked over to the bed to look at Ivy in her sleep. Her face was pale, her brows a little furrowed. She did not look like she was sleeping well. His finger subconsciously touched her on the face. The moment he touched her, he instantly pulled back as if his fingers were burned. He turned to head to the window. He lit a cigarette and took a huge puff, trying to use nicotine to calm his buzzing mind.

The entry area became chilly and dark as a strong wind blew in from nowhere. The crowd gasped, moving back as the wind blew with force. I glanced around to see fear in everyone’s eyes. I knew I had to stop her before someone got badly hurt. I wondered for a while as to why I didn’t get affected by the strong wind. I leaned to her and whispered into her ear, "Calm down babe, you are scaring everyone. Take a deep breath babe... breath" Her chest moved up and down as she inhaled and exhaled deeply at my command. Before hurling her father’s hand backward, causing him to stumble with force,

Slow and consistent. As the chilly air brushes my cheeks, the wind tugs on my hair, sifting through the black strands. I take a deeper breath, absorbing the lovely mint and wild flower aroma that seems to encircle me, and let the rough stone walkway settle me. I stand with my back to the door, eyes closed, arms wrapped about myself, and chest heaving while a little bird chirps high above me. The terror infiltrating my head eases its grip on me, one breath at a time, minute by minute.

And the wind, crossing the room, barely lifts the newspaper, like a discreet response. A warm breath, almost tender, brushing our faces and carrying away the last ashes of silence.

It is hard for her to fill her lungs with oxygen. “You walk ten steps, then stop. Take a breath… it trains your body to deal with areas like this… indeed the air is getting thinner. Once you get used to the count, increase it to twenty, then thirty…then you won't need a break to breathe.” said Burdak. Even though he didn't know that Randu had difficulty breathing and walking at the same time.

Every breath. How cruel.

Sebastian still felt a bit confused, but he didn’t want to prolong the questions, so he simply nodded and looked at Dinda, who appeared uncertain. “So, Dinda has to blow into this for breathing exercises, right?” The nurse nodded. “Exactly, sir. This will help open the airways and improve airflow in her lungs.” Dinda sat there, still feeling weak, gazing at the blowing device with doubt. Sebastian sat beside her, trying to encourage her. “Dinda, sweetheart. Try blowing into it, okay? I believe you can do it.”
