Window Blinds String Broke Novels & Stories

The curtains were wide open, dancing to the tune of the wind. But the window itself was…broken. A trace of blood drips onto the frame. My heart dropped.

This time the glass splintered further. One more hit would shatter it completely. “Move back.” The order came from outside. A second later, a metallic object struck the weakened glass hard enough to send cracks racing violently across the entire surface. I flinched hard. The next hit would break through. Damian forced himself upright again beside me despite the pain clearly tearing through his body now. “You need to crawl into the front seat.” “What?” “There is an emergency release near the driver’s side.” Another hit slammed against the window.

It was shut. “These buildings often have those tempered glass windows,” Emma said, her hope dwindling. “Not this one. These are outdated windowpanes, I can tell. My dad used them in some of his older builds. This window will break. Back up to me. I can free your hands. Pick something up, like a chair and just bash it against the glass. It’ll break and get attention from people in the street. We’re going to make it, Emma. We’re going to get out of here. We’re going to see our friends. You’re going to see your baby.”

I never thought to look at him. My phone broke into a piece of cake. It's not working. I was looking like a thief who was just doing stupidity on his husband's home. After taking a few minutes break, I made myself do it at once and I accomplished and this time spider over the window but I didn't lose my grip I broke the window glass. I made lots of noise but there were no ears for it.

“It’s a window. Unless you want us to break in—” “No, look. It’s open.” Olivier peered more closely. The window itself was small, the glass foggy with age. “Only a crack.” “If we can find something to wedge it open—” I looked around, finding what looked like a piece of pipe that’d fallen out of the nearby trash bins. I began to press the pipe into the crack and slowly make a see-saw motion to get the window to go up. At first, nothing happened. I kept going, hoping against hope that I wasn’t making myself look like an idiot with no results. A moment later, though, Olivier took over and added his strength to wedging the window open. Finally, we heard a creak and the window moved upward.

I would love to be out of this world. I turned my back on Kharim Celia and went straight to the window just on the side of my bed. The window is made of thin galvanized iron so I really have to be careful in opening it because it can make noise. I first removed the rope that served as its lock. I carefully opened both windows. It has a curtain so I tied it first so it wouldn't interfere with my view outside. I'll just let the air in first, just in case drowsiness comes to visit me later.

Rookie fucking mistake, I should have examined the window with more caution. Aside from finding another trap, I did learn the windows are made out of something similar to a two-way mirror or tinted windows. I can just make out my reflection in the glass, but I can’t see through it, yet I can see the light of this supposed lightning flashing inside. Iolaire walks up to me, “Find anything?” She quietly asks. “Razor blades,” I deadpan.

He lifted the pipe slightly, as if it weighed nothing, and used the tip to nudge the blinds open a crack. "Wow," he laughed. "You really do have a great view here. Beautiful, really." He turned to me. "Even though you’re not that high up, it’s nice to see everything from this window." He let the blinds fall back and took a short step back, staring at them. "Hmm… I don’t know. These look terrible. Why would you cover the window with something so ugly?" Without warning, he raised the pipe and dragged it hard over the blinds, ripping them apart, tearing them down.

Given the state of the house, that wasn’t entirely outside the realm of possibility. While Isaac battled the cobwebs, sending dust raining down on his expensive flight jacket, I tackled the boarded-up windows. Most of them were just nailed shut with plywood, presumably to protect the glass from storms and intruders. I managed to pry off one board, wincing at the state of the window beneath. The glass was broken and the frame rotted. Fat lot of good the board did for that one. “I think we’ll need all new windows,” I called over my shoulder. “And probably new frames, too.”
