Falling to her death was nothing like Sonny had imagined. Just when she saw herself about to crash to the concrete, she wished she could fly. Glorious; as Luce had called them, glorious wings were released from her tattoos. Each stroke that peeled of her skin became a feathery part of what was opening up from her body. The original mark from her back tore threw her causing her a little pain, nothing she couldn't handle. Now in full bloom, her wings, they were big and of grey colour. She flapped them hard and they carried her high into the sky. She screamed with excitement.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

After a few seconds, the whole area suddenly became bright and when we looked at the sky it seemed like a gate was open and so many Angels were coming out now. They have six wings each with the two wings on the lower side covering their body while the two wings on the upper side cover their face, while the two wings on the middle side they use to fly. They also sing "Holy, Holy, Holy" over and over as if they never get tired of singing. "Do you know what you did in return? Guia?" Nay Aurelia asked again, which brought my mood back. "Yes Mom, and that's half my lifespan." ... ...

My heart and body rebels at the thought I make my way to the back of the building and release my wings. The good thing about demon wings is that they can also materialize over my clothes. Fallon gives me a hard glare when I land on the roof. The building is not very tall. But it’s tall enough to obscure us from spectators. Thankfully, it’s still dark outside.

The person on the other side stated. I had to clear my throat before I could respond “Angels shouldn’t have clipped wings.” “I understand hold just a moment.” The man that had answered pressed a few buttons and before I knew it, I could hear June’s voice through the phone, “Are you safe?” June was straight to the point, but in her line of work I assume she had to be.

I dropped lower and found myself over the ruins, my heart stopping cold in my chest as I caught sight of Amara falling over the cliffside. Erebos swiftly dove towards her, managing to catch her on our back mere yards from the river below. A few stone pieces struck our body and one of our wings, but we brushed it off, more concerned about the trembling woman on us. We had turned to look at her after hearing my name, smiling inside as we took her in.

A gold glow appears in the fog and grows brighter by the second. Andricia soars up past me and I fall on my butt looking up at her. She is glowing, her pure white wings carry her beautifully. White feathers cover the large span of strong wings that carry her effortlessly. She has her golden crown glowing on her forehead with a red ruby in the center. She slowly lowers herself to the ground and her wings disappear, and she stops glowing.

“Why are you so stubborn? I won’t divorce you. You’re only thirty‑two. Don’t you care about yourself at all?” Her sudden change in attitude made me pause. I answered in a calm voice. “Why are you crying? You hated me so much that you should be happy when I die.” Jaime wiped her tears and spoke softly, almost as if she were coaxing a child. “You’re still young, so you can still be treated. Come back with me. I thought about everything these past few days. The past grudges weren’t ours to handle. I was stubborn. I was wrong. Let’s focus on getting you better and pretend the past is the past, okay?”

" They hopped in their car and peeled out, leaving me alone outside the venue. The wind bit into me. I tugged my coat closer and waved down a cab home. All my stuff had been thrown outside, dumped across the doorstep like garbage. The maid looked sorry as she said, "Mr. and Mrs. Swain told me you have to leave and never come back." I didn't charge in to yell at them. I just packed up quietly, then walked away with my things. That very night, I got on a plane out of town, heading to a hidden research base run by the National Space Agency. Just before I left, I texted everyone, "I, Wanda Swain, am officially done with the Swains for good and by choice."
