Fluffy white wings stretched out of my back and cast a shadow over me, covering me as though they were shields. That wasn’t the problem, though. At the bottom of my wings, there was fire that did not appear to cause me or my cloth any harm. It just burned. In the middle of my head was a crescent moon that glowed. “They are burning,” I heard someone say. “How are they white if she is the demigod of Night and shadows?” Another asked.

The feelings that connected us together, it was beyond words, it was primal, but it was also more. I opened my mouth and roared as my fire swirled around her, green and gold like my scales. A mate's flame would never hurt their mate. Nova glowed as she flapped her wings as my fire branded her and as she swooped and twirled around, the fire danced along with her, merging one with her, and before long, she was standing naked in the forest, a small emerald brand on her hips. She touched it with a finger and looked up at me, as I flew above her head.

“Well I was born as a fire spirit, but I also learned earth, I didn't bother to learn water because there is no way that I could ever go with the flow. It’s way too hard to be nice to little human brats like you so why even try.” Glory was the next one to go “I was born a duel spirit; I was born with both the ability to control lighting and snow and ice. Her bodyguards swarmed me, a flurry of fists and boots coming at me from all sides. I fought back with all my might, but against those muscular men, I was overwhelmed and forced to the ground. I curled up, doing my best to shield myself. Nicole let out a piercing scream and threw herself over me, her small body trying to fend off the blows meant for me. I called out to her weakly, unable to push her away. Desperate, I managed to roll over, pulling Nicole underneath me to protect her. I barely cracked my eyes open, squinting at Simon a short distance away.

In a split second, my knuckles connected with a bony jaw. The collision was followed with a loud shriek and then a body being hauled some meters away. I closed the distance between us almost at the same instant and rained down punches on the guy's face. All I saw in my eyes was a red haze and nothing else. Another kind of rage and anger had filled me so much that I angrily enjoyed punching the guy's face. It was like the person had snapped some kind of a trip wire in me that could never be reconnected.
