“Be careful what you chase, Charlie Greene. For when you find him… he may not recognize you anymore.” “So what am I supposed to do?” I snapped, throwing my hands out until the sleeves of my robe billowed. “Just stand here and listen? Watch Carter bleed away into the thing he’s been terrified of since we stepped through that Gate?” The Wizard didn’t flinch. He rose slowly from his chair, the pipe smoke curling like a question mark as he moved toward the mantle above the dying hearth. “Of course not, Charlie,” he said, voice low and steady. “You fight.”

Before Vargr could react, power seized him—ice binding one arm, fire scorching the other. Witches had acted on instinct, aiming to subdue him.

The soldiers had stopped the fight and watched the intense fight between the wyverns and the Brillas as it seemed like the Brillas were losing this one as they clawed their faces to get the wyvern off them. "Everyone stand back!!!!" The Wizard shouted and they all obeyed by moving back as the Brillas attention was fully gazed on the wyvern. The wizard rose his staff and swinged it back and forth, and suddenly, a portal opened as he continued to swing the staff and finally, struck the staff to the ground, causing a very strong wind from the west to force its way by pushing the Brillas and the wyvern into the portal; the wizard closed the portal with his staff yet again and that was the end of

Kaden groaned in rage and took over the control. ‘How dare you to hit him,” I shouted at her and used my sharp paw to scratch her face, but she vanished instantly and appeared distant from me, this all happened in a matter of seconds. She was using her magic, I wanted to attack again, but the muffled voice of Uncle Victor caused me to look at him and I saw him calling me, glancing at the witch who has wicked smile on her lips, I walked closer to him, he hold my hand and I shivered, his hand was cold as if blood in his veins has frozen.

The wizard smiled and said “It is an ancient spell that diffuse mystical holograms” this amazed everyone and Dawso

AVA’s POV I shook my head and pinched myself hard on the cheeks. Am I dreaming? Is my mate really a half-witch? Well, kind of like a sorcerer because women are called witches. But what the hell? How? “Incredible,” the white-haired sorcerer whispered in disbelief as he stared curiously at Hunter. “You will not touch her,” he warned and growled menacingly. The sorcerer, who I believe is named Zane, tilted his head and looked rather cold and furious. The sparkle in his eyes that hinted his curiosity was no longer there.

Even now Skye had no idea as to why Merlin had vanished from Light Dwellers’ history, only now as Merlia explained it resulted in leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. “But… but he saved your kind” Skye said looking at the grievous group who didn’t share his sentiments as disdain filled their faces.
