My voice cracked over the field hard enough that wolves still close enough to hear lifted their heads through panic. “Stop wasting steel on the scaled backs!” One of the younger warriors, Vandwood, maybe nineteen, barely a real beard under the blood on his face, had been hacking uselessly at the upper spine of a Vaelcryn while the thing worried at another man’s leg. I reached them in three strides, drove my shoulder into the younger wolf hard enough to knock him off line, and buried my blade through the soft point beneath the creature’s ear. It convulsed. I tore the blade free.

“I warned you! You brought this... this animal... into our keep, and now our stores are gone! He’s a Redmaw spy, and he’s just signaled his pack that we are weak and undefended!” Every eye in the yard swings to me. I don’t move. I just cross my arms, leaning back against the weapons rack, and try to look bored. Inside, my wolf is pacing, furious. Not at the accusation, I don’t give a shit what these sheep think, but at the way Vorlag is speaking to Kieran. The way he’s publicly challenging him, trying to make him look stupid.

… Dinner was laid out on a long table, lavish and abundant. Holden kept feeding Swelina her favorite roasted lamb. "Try some, darling." Smiling, Swelina pushed a plate of bright berries toward me. "These are for you. They're really nutritious." As I stared at the berries, my stomach twisted. They were the fruit of Wolfwail—harmless to healthy wolves but poisonous to those without a wolf spirit. In prison, this was how they "purified" disobedient wolves. "Why aren't you eating? Do you not like what I prepared?" Swelina's smile turned cold. "Or are you still upset that I read your diary aloud back then?"

alpha Rowan says, he looked ruffed up, he had a big bite over his neck, and my eyes kept going back to that point on his neck. The two alphas sat next to each other on one side and I sat on the opposite one, I kept avoiding their eyes, worried that I won't be in trouble now. SUNDAY EVENING, LOTUS HEADQUARTERS Several wolves circled the alpha in the center of the arena, mapping out their steps and timing their attacks. As others lay on the sidelines in exhaustion, Victor moved about in anticipation of attacks with infinite energy; vigor running high. Signaling for three to come forward, he dodged the first with a sidestep, the next with a bob and weave that left her neck open, and the third with a jump forward. Getting around them, he nipped them each in vital take down points, which tapped them out and sent them to do ten laps around the field.

They looked at me. “White wolf? It’s been long,” Malcom answered. Titus was quiet, just analysing me. Most times I know when he is quiet, he is up to no good. “Valeria is a white wolf; we saw it with our own two eyes,” I said, looking at them. They gasped, but Tutus still kept quiet. “It’s not possible,” he said. I nod my head. “It is; she is a white wolf. She killed a lot of warriors, passing them in a blur. We need to work together pillars; we can capture her,” I said, desperately. Titus stood up.

Its dark eyes assessed her with a predatory glaze. After a few moments Adelaide relaxed her stance and moved to stand in front of the wolf. It growled in aggression as she neared, and she let out her own grumble, from deep in her chest, to warn it off of making any movements. “Submit,” She spat. Their eyes met as the wolf worked hard to resist her words. She recognised the wolf, it had been at the Moon Valley. The scent of purity clung to its skin, the scent of the Moon, and she wondered why it was here.

“She’s got to be around here somewhere. Fan out and search for her." Splitting up, we looked for a trail. I crossed the river and looked to the other side. I walked into a clearing and saw a Beautiful Wolf with violet eyes and her white fur shimmered purple then white in the breeze. She had a black full moon on her right shoulder. “Mine.” Vilkas yelled again as she glared in our direction and ran. "Yeah, I get it. You don't need to repeat yourself." "Just trying to get through your thick skull." he retorted grumpily.

“VI, JAKE!!! NO MERCY!!! BREAK THEIR SPIRIT!!!! BUT.... LEAVE THEIR BODIES TO ME!!!!” Almost instantly I was nearly knocked over! The sheer power and commanding presence that exploded from the beta pair was stifling!!! As I watched in horror and amazement they shifted instantly and charged, Violet’s huge black wolf barked as she charged. She was large, larger than some alphas I have met! Behind her Jake’s lighter brown wolf followed as they charged the opposing beta Chad.
