His eyes were cold, calculating, but lacking that extra fire.
The third wolf stepped forward. Turk. He was the smallest of the three, but that didn't mean much when "small" still meant he was twice my size. His fur was a mix of brown and black, and his eyes were amber, sharp and focused.
He didn't wait for me to attack. He came at me hard and fast, no hesitation, no second-guessing. Pure aggression.
I met him head-on.
We crashed together like thunder, teeth snapping, claws tearing. He was relentless, pushing me back, forcing me to give ground. But I didn't break. I held my ground, matching him blow for blow, bite for bite.
