851 AD The first snow of the winter was building on the horizon, casting out its tendrils of freezing winds to clear the way. Harvest was well and truly over and the men had returned from their hunting trips to now help with the final touches in securing the Pack's dens for the winter. The season could be cruel here but the wolves had learnt how to fare against the harsh conditions without the aid of the human settlement some fifteen kilometres to the south. But that was because the Northern Star pack had something that other packs didn't; their Luna was a witch.

**Winter's POV** I stormed out of the Elders' Hall, my heart a thunderous drumming within my chest, beating against my ribcage with a fury that echoed through my very bones. The gruesome sight I had just witnessed burned into my mind, filling every thought with flames of anger and pain. I sensed my wolf beneath the surface, its feral rage simmering, begging to be released, to unleash carnage on those responsible. But I knew all too well the danger of letting go in such a state. It would be chaos and destruction—no calculated justice or order, just raw violence and uncontrollable devastation. I'd let my wolf free in rage once before, and the memory of the aftermath haunted me.

The wind howled through the narrow, snow-choked streets of Snowridge, as if warning anyone who dared to venture out into the deadly storm. How did your wolves sense each other?” She asked, lowering her voice. I blinked at her question, my throat suddenly dry. “I don’t…. I don’t know.” I replied, confusion creeping into my tone. “I just felt it. I don’t know how. But I know that he's my true mate. One can’t deny the connection.”

That day, the Northern frontier was struck by a once-in-a-century blizzard, with winds that cut like knives. Biting wind whipped snowflakes against him, covering his hair and shoulders in thick layers of frost. The once-mighty Wolf King, who had always stood above all others, now looked like a lost lone wolf—worn down and stripped of all his former sharpness.

They didn't stop though, they kept riding hard on their horses away from the fortress. Just before they got to the Blade lake river, they heard the howl once more and a big black wolf leaped out of the woods, the wolf ripped off the head of one of the guards and disappeared into the woods again- leaving the guard headless on the floor with his horse running off into the dark. Their leader is a black wolf with blue eyes, and he wants to stand on the high cliff and declare war on his opponent. The Red Wolve did not dare to stop but only dared to lean to the side. Wolves usually have gray and yellow fur, but with wolves having white, black, and red fur is very special. The black wolf that received the order to distract Windy was just a wolf with yellow fur because to distract the opponent, he disguised himself to look like Ezra.
