This time I flew to Russia to check on how the clan of gray and white wolves is doing. Once upon a time, the latter were quite numerous and more developed than the former, but during a fire twenty years ago, almost half of the population died in a flock of whites, including the alpha and his family. It came as a big shock to everyone. No one really could tell anything about what happened, and how it happened. The official version spoke of an accident with fireworks during the holiday, which caused several houses to catch fire at once. The fire was not extinguished in time. The panic began.

Wolf. The other wolf is a tad smaller than the black wolf. He is beautiful. His fur is dark brown with a little white patch on his chest with golden eyes. I continued to stare into the brown wolf's eyes as he started to whine. I noticed from the corner of my eye that Winter was walking straight to the black wolf. When did she let go of my hand? "Winter! Get back here! They could eat you alive!" I whisper-yelled scolding my friend. Winter paid me no mind and I wanted to cover my eyes with my hands. I really don't want to witness my friend getting mauled to death. Winter approached the black wolf hugging him around his thick neck and kissing the wolf's cheek.

Elara walked out of the building into the gray light of the valley. The storm from the north had had arrived, the first heavy flakes of winter snow were falling down through the trees like ashes from a fire. The timber wolf was still standing on the ridge above the road, his eyes watching her. His eyes were a pretty gold color. The wolf and the woman were just standing there looking at each other. They were standing in the middle of an empty space with forty yards of cold hard stone between them. The woman did not call out to the timber wolf. She did not get her fire ready.
