While Xavier fought Vladimir getting him away from the trucks and the wolves Vladimir was fighting to get his hands on them and kill as many as he can. He refused to let the wolves leave like that and if they escaped, then he vowed to kill each one of those that remained in the city. He felt they cannot be trusted and that he needed to get rid of them once and for all.
