Instead, he walked straight to Winnie, his voice carrying a trace of reproach. “You’re injured. You need to return to the tent immediately.” The two of them stood close together, looking perfectly matched. I couldn’t bear to watch any longer, so I turned to leave. “Agnes. Come here.” Xavier’s cold voice sounded behind me, firm and unquestionable. My body stiffened, and I turned back instinctively. At some point, Winnie had left. Xavier wiped the blood from his arm before speaking to me flatly. “Stay by my side until the remaining wild werewolves are dealt with.” After a brief pause, he added, “And stop causing more trouble for me.”

Lucianne whispered angrily but she didn’t have the strength to retract her hand so Xandar held onto it with ease. He smiled sadly but said nothing. Then, he lifted up his own arm, and with his canines, tore his skin there with force. Blood started trickling from his self-inflicted wound. The sight made Lucianne flinch a little. Furrowing his eyebrows in concern, Xandar glanced at Lucianne before he extended one of his claws, and scratched a fine line on her palm. Blood started trickling from that area, and Xandar placed her bleeding palm on his already-healing bleeding arm. Both Lycans and werewolves have quick healing abilities, with Lycans normally healing faster than wolves. In a low but

The utter lack of a reaction from the Supreme Alpha was the most terrifying thing Xavier had ever seen. Knowing his life was completely forfeit, and driven by the frantic desperation of a cornered animal, Xavier did not beg for mercy. He chose to fight. With a loud, guttural roar, Xavier’s body violently expanded. The fabric of his expensive tailored suit ripped to shreds as thick, dark brown fur erupted from his skin. His bones popped and cracked loudly, shifting his human frame into a massive, heavily muscled four-hundred-pound wolf in a fraction of a second.

Alpa Calvin —— Alpha Calvin stormed into his office, his mind filled with frustration and anger. He couldn't believe Xavier had rejected his offer, refusing to accept the potential mate he had presented. The audacity of Xavier's defiance ignited a fire within Alpha Calvin, fueling his determination to form an alliance with Xavier's pack. As he paced back and forth, his thoughts raced, strategizing the next move in this delicate game. He couldn't let Xavier's rejection deter him. The bond between their packs was crucial for the survival and prosperity of both.

Xavier A couple of hours passed before Renna finally stirred from her slumber. Throughout her unconsciousness, I had been vigilantly observing, clutching her hand tightly. However, as she awakened, a surge of anger surged within me, mirroring the sentiment shared by my wolf. Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing a frown etching across her face, “Xavier?” I prepared to express my frustration, the simmering anger once again bubbling beneath the surface.

She bared her teeth, trying to grab the enemy. “Stop, wolf,” they shook her sharply, bringing her to her senses. Alexander held her back with both hands. — See? We have little time. And I can stop them. Vela shifted her gaze to Arnar, who had been tumbled onto his back. The two superiors continued to hold back the werewolf, while Mark lazily delivered blow after blow. With an insane grin on his face, he spat out curses, laughed, reveling in someone else's pain and helplessness.

In seconds I was standing —a Silver Wolf in his full glory, pressed with power that roared behind my ribs. I charged towards him with a feral snarl, I leapt up and smashed into him, our bodies collided. Claws raked across heavy black fur. Xavier roared, swatting with a massive paw that glowed with dark energy. I flipped over it, rolling and landing on all fours. Nyra set herself aside, raising fire. She hurled a ring of flame that licked into Xavier’s flank. He staggered, but turned with too much might, and wind erupted in retaliation.

Xavier replied, his voice full of gratitude. Their journey had been filled with pain, loss, and betrayal, but it had also brought them together and shown them the strength of their love. They had faced their demons, uncovered the truth, and emerged victorious, not just as individuals, but as a united force. With the threat of the conspiracy now vanquished, the werewolf kingdom thrived under their rule. Xavier and Nemesis worked tirelessly to ensure a harmonious coexistence between the various supernatural beings, building bridges of understanding and unity.

Rather than the blood loss, it was usually the horrendous injuries they inflicted that killed their victims. New vampyre. A fledgling. As soon as the thought rolled through his head, Xavier knew who had done this. “Find him,” he ordered the wolves crowded in the doorway, knowing they’d pick up the scent of vampyre as easily as he had. “Bring him to me. I don’t care if you have to go through their fucking vampyre lord to do it. No-one touches my woman.” They nodded and disappeared, leaving Xavier with his dying lover in his arms. His throat thickened with tears as he gathered her closer, cradling her in his lap.
