LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR Good day, It had been quite a roller coaster ride for everyone, for me, and all the readers who silently watched over me as I continued to write the first book of my first series, A Woman’s Worth. It was quite a blast writing this book. This one had started in 2018 and had been on hiatus with only 10 chapters published for the year 2018-2020. I had even forgotten about this one and the concept and plot was a little different before. But now after thinking things through, I picked it up once again on November 11, 2020 and started writing it from the beginning till the end. I experienced writer’s block 4 times while writing this.

My heart lurches when I see that I am locked in some cage, and next to me is another cage containing Julieanne and Stacey, clinging to each other. 'Oh, thank God, you are awake.' Julieanne reaches her hand through the bars, and I do the same so that our fingers touch, and I feel a little reassurance. 'Where are we?' I ask quietly, and the older woman looks frightened, clinging to Stacey and taking a deep breath. 'The Bratva took us.' My eyes go wide in shock at her words, 'B. Bratva?' Both women nod, then gesture around them. My horrified eyes take in the rest of my surroundings. There are cages all along one side of the room, and every single one contains women. Young, pretty and terrified,

I need an answer. He flips open the folder and throws a dozen crime scene photos on the desk. Right away, I notice that they’ve all been taken in a road, and some are in the white honda civic. A woman is lying in the backseat, covered in blood. Her eyes are expressionless. Her torso and chest are mutilated, skin gouged and scraped. I drop my purse, and my hands immediately cover my mouth as I let out a gasp and a whimper. I drop to the side of the desk, regurgitating a bit of my lunch into my mouth. The acid burns as I try to force it back down, but this only makes my eyes well up with tears even more.

She looked at the book she held in her hand; she asked, " You know The Venomous Alien. " Puzzled at her question, I answered in affirmation, " Yeah, Dave Bow is quite the author" " I know, this book was available just yesterday. How... How do you know about it? " I chuckled softly at her question; she looked so surprised. " Exactly what you're thinking, I am a" " Dark comic addict" we both chorused, and she quivered in excitement. " You know I never knew I could find someone who loves dark comics " " Me too, I think it's some sort of a secret every dark comic lover does not want to let out" I beamed with smiles.

He doesn’t ask questions,only deals in clean weapons, burner phones, and forged documents. “Didn’t expect you,” he says, eyes skimming over me. “Heard you were married to the enemy.”

This was so hard to do. However, standing here now, staring at those same pair of arms that held her close on cold nights, wrapped around another woman so tightly, it made this a little easier. With that, she pulled out the envelope and tossed it on the table. Derek’s eyes shifted to her, and then he suddenly noticed the suitcase behind her, “What’s this Leah? What are you doing?”
