She felt a chill run down her spine as a result of his cold voice, which also left her feeling eerily gloomy. She felt apprehensive and agitated by the cold vibe he emitted as his comments reverberated throughout the lift.

Stepping onto the tiled floor, a sense of renewed energy coursed through me. With damp hair trailing down my back, I made my way back to the bedroom. But I felt a sudden jolt in my body as I got slippery and my foot slipped. As my foot met the floor, it betrayed me, sending me into an ungraceful descent. I opened my mouth to scream but no sound came out. The edges of my vision darkened, went black, and then moved inward slowly, contracting into a smaller and smaller circle… And down I went, limp and helpless into the earth. The circle closed over my eyes, and all that was left was black, and the feeling of falling… down, down, down…

But starts to pull at it. Quietly. Slowly. Until it does.

Sleep whispering in my ears…slowly and soothing. Slowly my eyes shut.
