Penaklukan ini juga mempelopori era baru bagi Romawi yang telah meninggalkan pemerintahan Republik menjadi Kekaisaran. Octavianus mendapatkan gelar Augustusnya sebagai kaisar pertama dan menciptakan Pax Romana (kedamaian Romawi).
