For the pups and the book for his age, the bad guy meant a monster who would scare and hurt them.
“Yes. Like monsters.”
But instead of being terrified, the pup in arms beamed his eyes with interest. “I want to see the monster.” And his statement sounded like a monster was a good thing, not the opposite.
“Monster is bad, honey.” It was Hannah responding.
“Don’t worry, Mommy. I’ll fight them and protect you.” He said. Determination was on expression.
“You need to grow bigger, little buddy, before you demand a fight.” Eliot joined in from afar as he made his way to us.
