Wounded Bird Novels & Stories

It seemed that my cries only incited the birds attack to newer heights. Mardichi was laughing as he ducked. Swinging his arms over his head until the birds were tossed aside. Each one he struck made it feel like I was hit. I felt his strikes in my sides, cracking against my ribs and bruising along my arms as he knocked one bird to the ground. Making it belly crawl along the ground with a wounded limb. It drew near me and tried to tuck under me as though it expected me to protect it now that it was injured.

"You'll find the things you lost in the situation of how they were before dying. So as you can see, this bird was heavily injured before it left the world, seems like arrow shot, doesn't it? Not that it's any of my...." "Can you please stop peeping?" I interrupt him, frowning. He smirks, "Haha, sure. We can talk about this and that later. Enjoy your memory lane trip, Miss Yena." The projector screen disappears. I let out a sigh and slowly pick up Berry. The wounds and burns don't seem severe, but the gradual blood lost has led her to death. She watches me with sentimental eyes as I cast a simple healing spell to heal the wounds.

It was gauging things, weighing up infinite possibilities Khaldun would never comprehend. With a flurry of wings, the gull ploughed into the windshield, the pane already weakened, it caved in. With the bird’s head now inside the car, it forced its way through, oblivious to the terrible damage the passage incurred upon its body. The entry point was framed with blood and feathers, its beak and claws now tearing mercilessly as Khaldun’s hands, which he lifted off of the wheel to protect his face, his screams bleeding into the cries of the gull, his feet pushing down as he forced himself backwards, and away from the onslaught.

That weirdo man really snitched on me that fast huh. I stay silent the whole ride home. I've thought about pleading my case but judging from how silent everybody was the whole ride, I doubt I'd change his mind. I'm getting my ass beat whether I beg or not. We pull into the driveway after what feels like a million years of being in this tension filled car. My door is opened before I'm roughly pulled out of the car. My whole body lurches foreward and I hit the ground. "What the fuck!?" I yell as the stabbing pain shoots through my hands and knees.

“Are you hurt?” The bird tried to get out of my palm, but it fell back. I was right, and it had a broken wing. I saw a woman’s reflection in those dark eyes that had me gasping and wondering who it was. The woman was older than me, but I had the same eyes as hers. I almost dropped the little helpless bird. “I’m sorry. I wish I could help, little birdie.” I ran my finger on the broken wing until it sparkled and it magically healed. “Wow. What just happened?” My eyes widened.

I heard the bird wail to show that he understood what I'm saying. The bird flew low and started picking the soldiers with its claws. He would pick up five soldiers at once, then fly high and throw them away. Painful shrieks filled the air; the processor and the silver bird were wreaking havoc on the soldiers. I jumped down from the bird and landed on the ball that I had made earlier. "Let's go," I yelled at the processor.

However, few were still staring. The crowd included teens; boys and girls, of my age and few seemed a little older than me but not younger than me. I had millions of questions in my mind and was waiting badly to let them out. At first I thought that it all might be a dream but no. A dream could not be this real and neither one could feel so much pain from the wounds inflicted. Coming to think of the wounds, every kid here was wearing bandages. Some on their arms, on their foreheads, legs and eyes. Every individual was having some. Why were they all like this, wounded? I thought to myself.

The moment the bullet was shot down, a stream of purple light appeared and hit the grenade in the Winged's hands as fast as lightning. Boom! Fire waves swept over the place. The Winged let out a mournful cry as he was blasted away. He lost one of his arms, his feathers scattered on the ground, his wings full of bloody holes. He was covered in blood, and his chest was exploded open, revealing his bones. Bang! He fell to the ground and rolled a few times. He lay on the ground and kept twitching, looking like he was going to die. "Ahh... " The rest of the Wingeds flew into a rage and couldn't help but roar. They suffered such a big loss, one member dead and one seriously injured.

he smiled. I sighed and threw my head down. "Please" I whispered in defeat. "Leave" I said I closed my eyes when I heard the door open and close again. I fell onto my bed and allowed my tears to fall out. *** The doctor came into to check my wounds and said that my wound will heal soon, but what about the wounds in my heart?...who will heal them?. My family was crying when they saw me in the hospital bed again. I was now ready to go home. I could walk a bit as luckily the cut wasn't that deep. I just limp a little but I could walk thank god.

It caws angrily, and Todd rushes forward, trying to swat it away before it can do any real damage to my face or eyes with its beak or talons. They rip into my skin, tearing through the flesh easily. The bird isn't huge, but it isn't a hummingbird either. It's all back like a crow, with razor sharp claws. I drop my gun and use my arms to try and protect my face as the burning pain continues. Its beak digs into my forearms, tearing through the skin like butter. I can feel blood dripping down my arm, hot and sticky. I shouldn't have rolled up my sleeves while searching these rooms.
