I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.

There were no books in the room and doing nothing was eating me alive. The book was opened in front of me but I could not focus on any word. "Do you need something?" I looked at Ruhee, who was turning the pages of another book she brought for me about the werewolves. I shrugged in response and moved my eyes back to the black and white picture of the creature with eyes filled with animal instincts only, in the picture it was snarling at someone. "Do you know Amber?" I asked Ruhee after not being able to stay focused on anything.

My whole childhood suddenly felt like some half-told story, and apparently someone had forgotten the bloody important parts. I rubbed my forehead and kicked a loose stone out of my path. “This is too much. I can’t even think anymore.” Something nudged at me from the inside. Nyx. I ignored her at first, but she pushed against our bond again, harder this time. Whatever had caught her attention, she wasn’t letting it go. I stopped walking. “Wait… what is it?” I whispered, turning my head as I searched between the trees. For a place this quiet, I should have heard something.
