The good, the bad, and the ugly. I try to maintain continuity within the story and characters, which is quite a task considering I have elements spanning over almost twenty years, but if you catch anything that seems off (including other, basic mistakes), please let me know! My goal is to deliver a slow-burning, intriguing story with faster-paced action and subplots, hopefully, I'm able to do that! This is also my first published book, so thanks again as I navigate this learning curve!

Sixty Days To Leave You

Sixty Days To Leave You

He came in, set the coffee beside the laptop, and sat in the corner chair. “Is it done,” he said. “Yes,” she said. She had been writing the book for eight months. Not consecutively. In the four o’clock mornings and the hours between institute work and garden and the one hour left at the end of days that belonged entirely to the page. She had written it the way her mother had built the framework, with accumulated precision rather than a single sustained push, returning to it consistently and giving it the full version every time. The last ten pages had taken three weeks. Not because they were difficult in the construction sense. Because they contained the people she loved most and she had nee

My Ex's Boss is My Baby's Father

My Ex's Boss is My Baby's Father

The book took three years to write, which was longer than she had expected and exactly as long as it needed to be. The first year produced something she recognised, on rereading, as the version she had written for other people: shaped toward what she thought readers needed, the difficult parts present but managed, the emotional truth audited before it reached the page. It was honest in the way that public statements were honest: accurate without being complete. She showed it to Lucien, who read it in two evenings and then sat across from her and said: "It's good. It's not what you're capable of."

One Year with the Mafia Boss

One Year with the Mafia Boss

They’re not helping. I received this. I received this. I have been pretending to be a real wife to Jaydon for about a month now. It shouldn’t be that difficult to pretend that this kiss was nothing, that it never happened, for the remaining eleven months. Eleven months feels like a long time, but I can do it. I’ve always believed that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. But am I reading too many romance novels? Am I overthinking this? Will my life turn into a cliche?

ONLY HIS

ONLY HIS

Hello everyone. I wanted to apologize for not updating for a long time again. My day job has been brutal along with taking care of my kids. And when I do get a few hours of free time to write at night, my Impostor syndrome prevents me from polishing what I've already written to be uploaded. It's so bad that even though you guys tell me you love the book and I'm earning, I'm still doubting myself :( Especially since my first book has been published on the app for a year now and it's still not as big as I dreamed it would be (lol dream big, right?)

The Path Of Writing

The Path Of Writing

Now that you know what an inciting incident is, the third rule helps a lot on how to choose the best inciting incident for your story: Let me repeat it again: 3 this incident upset the balance within the character's world. This inciting incident tipped the character's world, a little or a lot, and their world changed. So don't start your book with chapter one depicting an "ordinary day" of your character's life, and end it with "this is how my life has been so far, and I wish I can change it". I understand that you want to set their emotion of longing for a change before you present the change, but this voids your chapter one, and gives your story a slow pace.

The CEO's Little Secret

The CEO's Little Secret

He couldn’t make up his confession as he went along. He turned to a fresh page in his notebook. The previous page was full of planning notes for his current story. Darien’s mind sparked an idea. He could write his feelings as a book instead and give that to Zach. His romance writing skills were infinitely better than his verbal ones. He didn’t have time to write an entire book with his hectic schedule and his current book. He needed sleep. No decent CEO ran a company without any sleep. It would have to be a book proposal. He could write an outline and the first five chapters. That wouldn’t seem strange to Zach. It was the intern’s job after all.

Scripted Disaster: When Life Refuses To Follow The Script.

Scripted Disaster: When Life Refuses To Follow The Script.

“Of course. But the deadlines for your next book have come and gone, haven’t they? Your editor’s emails — a little less encouraging now, a little more… contractual? The luxury of time must feel different when you’re not the only breadwinner.” Nora’s smile stiffened. Luxury of time. It felt more like a punishment — days bleeding into nights, the cursor blinking like a metronome of failure. Her document, labeled Book 4 – Working Title, had 3,847 words. She'd written them all in the first week of January 2023, when hope was still a viable emotion. The last sentence: She realized that trust, once broken, couldn’t be repaired — only buried. She’d stared at it for two years, waiting for it to mean

Wow, wow, wow! This book is finally complete! Thanks to God, and thanks to everyone who supported me. Your comments, suggestions, and social media follows encouraged me in the best ways. I'm very happy about this. This is literally not my longest book, but I spent about three months writing it, which is something I normally don't do. 😔 Anyway, I'm happy that it's now complete! In case you haven't checked my other books out, feel free to. All you have to do is to reach me out on my social media.

Promised to the Alpha

My thinking is that I add an authors note a the end of 'book' 1 so to speak and re-write the synopsis to advise any new readers that it will be 2 books in one. Alternatively, the other idea I had was to just have a longer book, but I don't want the length to scare off new readers. Thanks in advance! :)

So if this is Book 1 and 2??? What and where is the second book. I’ve read until chapter 59. The comments at the end asking about when the next chapter will be posted are all from 2months ago. Is this it?

This book is an excellent read so far but it is supposed to be book 1 and book 2. There have been no updates on this story in a long time, that is true. Has anyone found out if anything is wrong with the author? It should be one of the questions asked.
