After he stepped out, my Beta leaned in. “Last week, he hurt his paw unloading freight and was fired.” I didn’t respond. I simply picked up the next resume. The next time I saw Yeats, he was scavenging for scrap paper crates—working as a werewolf junk collector. I saw him fighting another for a stack of discarded crates. Wyatt quickly retells what and who he saw. "You know, I was planning on making Gabe the lead warrior, but I never told him. What changed was when I saw you at the tryouts, Wyatt.
