I dodged it too late and was hit on the arm feeling a burning sensation.

The word was a new one to him. “Xyn,” Leesa repeated. “When a wyvern attacks, it partially dematerializes. That’s how it was able to pass though my shield. The dematerialization is called xyn. It works both ways, though. They have to rematerialize just before they strike. When this one did, it got caught by my shield.”
