Choosing Fate

Choosing Fate

I feel the awkward silence taking over the room. Werewolves won’t understand this feeling. They get their wolves when they go through puberty. I remember when Yaya and I got our wolves. We were twelve years old. I was so awkward; my limbs outgrew my torso, and I was clumsy. Yaya was always gorgeous. The boys in our pack admired her. I was the weirdo twin brother who could make cool potions. When we got our wolves, our dad was so proud. He and Mom weren’t sure if we would get wolves since we'd had magic capabilities since birth.

The little girl obeyed eagerly, discovering a title written in strange swirling letters across the center of the page. “Mom, what does it say? I can’t read yet…” Disappointed that she couldn’t decipher it on her own, she pouted softly and curled up against her mother’s chest. Her mother smiled tenderly and began reading aloud. “It says: Lycanthropic Myths and Legends. My dear, this book was written a very long time ago, and every wolf must own a copy. It tells of the origins of werewolves, the first transformation, our laws, and even the sacred bond of soulmates.”

Once he nodded, we set off. The undergrowth was thick outside the pack house. The area had not been kept, it was a mess. It was a good thing we weren’t human or we would have been absolutely covered in stings and bites, insects and nettles absolutely everywhere. Sure, we felt it, but it healed almost immediately. Or most things did, anyway. Wolfsbane. “Wolfsbane!” I shouted down the pack link. “Nathaniel, your father is growing wolfsbane! Why the bloody hell is a werewolf growing wolfsbane?” I could feel Nathaniel’s shock through the pack and mate links.

The Wolf who hated alphas

The Wolf who hated alphas

He said walking through the vast site. The leader of the clan, walked to the last shelf and picked up a big black and gold book. On the cover was a huge dragon, written, legendary creatures, extinct and extant. Cassius handed it to the girls and said:" Good luck. Now the work is with the young." He laughed. Nayssa and Kyria looked at each other and smiled, they sat down on the large wooden table and sat down in the padded chairs. The book was really huge, with a thickness of 20cm. Nayssa began to flip through the pages. There were several creatures in that world besides wolves. And the similarity between them was the hatred for the werewolves who took their mother away from them.

“It is going to be so cool to get hands-on training from one of my father’s pack members. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.” Amber’s book delivery arrived earlier than expected and Caleb eagerly assisted her with bringing them in from the car. There were quite a few boxes and Caleb prayed that at least one of them would hold a nugget of gold for him. As luck would have it, the boxes contained three werewolf books that Caleb had not seen before. One, in particular, caught his eye. It was all about new wolves and their experiences when first transitioning. He couldn’t wait to get home and start reading it. He’d already paged through it in the store and noted the similarities between h

My Wolf, My Alpha

My Wolf, My Alpha

I struggled to say while my hands pointed to the window where I saw the vacancy flyer while I was getting into the cafe. "You want to work here?" She asked me, and I nodded. "Hmmm... I have never seen a human who is willing to work where she will be surrounded by werewolves. Aren't you afraid of your life?" I gulped. Of course, I was afraid for my life. And that was exactly why I needed to work where I would be able to interact with werewolves all day. It would help give me some confidence. Besides, it was not like I was afraid of them because I was a human and they were werewolves. As a girl who came from the lines of hunters, I had seen more weird creatures than werewolves. It was just my

Carmen whispered back, causing me to freeze and give Carmen a questioning look. "Why wouldn't he? He could seriously get hurt!" I felt the light touch of a hand on my head causing me to turn back to Lane with a glare, but that wasn't enough. He smuggled himself between me and Carmen, putting his arms around both of us. Then he leaned over to my ear and whispered, "You have no idea the kind of man Abel is. Since he was young, he'd been ripping lions apart. What is a simple werewolf in front of him? Just watch."

For centuries nobody ever heard of another hybrid or a white wolf and so when I turned for the first time, the whole pack thought it was a mutation! My mom was a doctor who was skilled in making drugs and she amongst others in her scientific department were skilled in making werewolf portions, vampire serum, and even had replicate of DNA gotten from Lyncans and witches. It wasn't hard at all for the pack to conclude that I was just a mutation and my parents kept it that way because it was dangerous being hybrid!! I never felt different and only knew more about myself from the old books in the library. My parents kept me away from reading those historical books from an early age but as I grew

The library had revealed its secrets to me, and I would seize this opportunity to uncover the truth, no matter the challenges that lay ahead. As I delved deeper into the mystical pages of the book, my eyes alighted upon a page that trembled with ancient knowledge. My breath hitched, and my heart quickened as I read the words that seemed to leap off the parchment. The page revealed a hidden truth, a forgotten chapter in the history of the City of Grapetown. It spoke of an era long past, when the streets I walked upon were dominated by the majestic presence of werewolves. These noble creatures, born with the moon's touch upon their souls, had once reigned supreme in the shadows, their power un

Wolfblood

Wolfblood

***TRIGGER WARNING: Up until now, this story has been fairly tame. From this point forward, Wolfblood takes a dark turn. For those who read the first book of the series, Wolfbane, this book is much darker and deals with more serious, real-world issues. If you prefer light-hearted romances without violence, I advise you not to continue. If, however, you enjoy thrilling werewolf romance novels, please continue with Wolfblood! I promise it's worth the ride.***

I thought this book was well developed and I loved how it the story contined on involving both Alex and Blake's pack. I felt this story had more self reflection and perhaps self doubt with some of the MCs. But, honestly I think that is what made the bonds stronger and independently grow.

This book is already so much better than the first. I'm hoping that Jasmine doesn't remain a doormat with Lucy and she gets her comeuppance. I also hope Luke regrets his decision and becomes jealous. Jasmine deserves better than those 2. love Blake! Talia and Alex story definitely intriguing.
