I felt bad for leaving the twenty-six year old gelding that had been my trusted steed for years, but his age was showing on him and I knew he wasn’t built for this kind of trek anymore. “We’ll be riding the whole way, why?” Tross responded, Evelyn's discomfort apparently not registering to him. “No reason,” Evelyn sighed, letting her hand drop behind her to brace against the saddle in an attempt to alleviate some of her weight off her ass.
