But before I can shake off the unease, my left eye catches something out of the corner of my vision. A flash of yellow. If I am not hallucinating, they are yellow glowing eyes, piercing through the dark corner ahead, which is clouded by trees, making it difficult for the moon to penetrate. I freeze, my heartbeat spiking. Slowly I turn my head, my pulse hammering in my throat, and I see it clearly now—a pair of eyes, staring back at me from the darkness ahead. I swallow hard, my breath catching in my chest. My mind spins in disbelief as a figure emerges behind those glowing eyes.

Maybe it's the end of the road signal,' Iris jumped when she spotted something on the left side of the road. I slowed down and squinted my eyes to see better, but I couldn't identify anything other than a gently flickering red light as either the end of the road sign or even the hazard warning light on an abandoned car. The road suddenly changed from asphalt to hard gravel full of potholes, and I almost stopped the car, fearing that the suspension would give out, when the flashing light suddenly changed to green a few inches to the left, then to a pale blue before returning to red again. The colors started appearing in this sequence, flashing all at once and then randomly.

Kyra- Opening my eyes, I blink a few times to clear them. It takes me a minute to focus and adjust my eyes to the bright white fluorescent light above me. When I could see more clearer, I find a bag of clear fluids hanging above my head on a metal hood attached to the plastic white headboard.

She looked at Soheila, asking her using her eyes. Both of them slowly opened their eyes. Soheila was mesmerized when she saw Sylvie's black eyes turned yellow while Little Black's black eyes turned lilac.

Feeling the familiar butterflies erupt in his stomach, he quickly looked away and directed his attention towards the road.

He looked at the door, then glanced back at me briefly as if he remembered something trivial, and said: "It’s easy." He slowly raised his hand. At first, nothing happened, but suddenly a faint yellow light appeared in his palm, like a small spark born in the darkness. But it didn’t stay that way; it began to grow, intensify, and become brighter until it turned into a pulsating ball of light. The light was so strong that I closed my eyes involuntarily. I felt a slight sting in them, as if the light was piercing through them.
