I grit my teeth as another wave of pain rushes through me. He blocks my punch, rolling over until he’s on top, but instead of getting a punch in, he gets off me, and instead grabs my arm and twists it behind my back, his knee pressing against my upper back. “I’m really not enjoying this, so can we call it a draw?” He says breathlessly. A draw? A fucking draw? I just got my fucking ass beat by a fucking Arden. That fucking hurts my ego. “There ain’t no fucking draw. You won.” I growl and he instantly lets go of me.

Dylan growls. “You just said I was getting kicked out!” Beckham shoots back. “We can discuss this later,” Onyx interjects. “What the hell happened to your face?” I ask as he scoops me up in his arms so I don’t have to stumble through the rocks and roots again. His cheeks tinge pink. “I got hit in the face.” He says, but just by his demeanor, I can tell it’s not that simple. “With what?” I ask, leaning in and inspecting it closer.

Just as my jaw, the bones of my left arm and one of my rib is broken. After rejecting another one of his advances last night, I received some good beating. Beating is a wrong word. That one I knew. Dino. Bald, always sweating, breath like a sewer. “But that mouth don’t pay for shit. You’re a month late.”

Phoebe staggered, and the bags in her hands lost balance. With a loud *crash*, her belongings scattered across the ground. She stared at the mess in a daze, her mind momentarily blank. Before she could process what had happened, a man's furious voice exploded beside her, "Are you blind?!" Phoebe's anger flared instantly. She looked up at the aggressive man before her, suppressing the fury rising in her chest. Keeping her voice as steady as possible, she replied, "Sir, please get the facts straight. YOU RAN INTO ME."

He cocked his head to the side. "Dude! You just got beat by a girl! Tomorrow is going to be worse than just having to apologize. A lot of people are going to be talking about it." I said with a playful smile. I pulled my arms up and flexed my muscles. "Hear me roar. Gr." I said with a straight face, and he relaxed and started laughing.

The sharp pain made me flinch, and I instinctively shoved her away. She pretended to stumble and threw herself to the ground like she'd been pushed. Her forehead even hit the pavement and got scraped. "Ow! Why did you push me?" Byron rushed over, full of concern, and helped her up. His face was twisted in fury as he turned on me. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I looked at him, annoyed, and held my hands out to show I hadn't done anything. It was just another one of Lisa's little acts.
