I repeated softly, “Exactly.” “Right?” she said, voice brightening a little, like we had suddenly entered the same emotional wavelength. “It’s like the final Jenga block gets pulled and everything just collapses.” I leaned back a bit against the stall wall, still not ready to open the door or step out. But I didn’t feel quite so alone anymore. “Listen,” she continued, “whatever it is… it’s okay to not be okay. Even if it’s work. Even if it’s a man. Or both.”

I guess I just caved in first. All I want is love that lasts Is all I want too much to ask? Is it something wrong with me? All I want is a good guy Are my expectations far too high? Try my best but what can I say? All I have is myself at the end of the day Shouldn't that be enough for me?

Ella said angrily. "Ella. You are not at fault. You were hurt. It's understandable to have these dreams and to feel the way you do. You need to accept them and move on. You are enough. It just takes the right man to see it. " Dr Lee encouraged her. "Repeat after me." Dr Lee said." I am enough." "I am enough." Ella drew in a shaky breath. "I am loved. I am beautiful." Dr Lee said. “You fixed me.” “No.” I run my index finger over my mouth. “I didn’t fix you. You’re fixing yourself. I’m just holding the pieces while you figure out what fits where.” I turn my head to look at her. “I have to be enough for you. Why am I not enough?” “You are.” She reaches for me again, and I slap her hand away. “No, I’m not. You keep showing me that I’m not. Nothing I do is good enough for you.”

Not exactly. But it's something. And for now, that's enough.

Nothing she needed to escape. She woke with a deep sense of calm that didn’t fade with daylight. Before bed, she opened her notebook one last time that evening and wrote: Enough is not a stopping point. It’s a way of standing. She closed it gently. Outside, the city breathed. Inside, Serena did too. And for the first time in her life, she wasn’t measuring what she had against what she lacked. She was simply living within what fit. And it was enough.
