Opening the door just as I stepped before it, Zaika was grinning at me. "Come in and tell me about this Vossler guy again," he said softly. Narrowing my eyes at his jest I exhaled in frustration. "I have explained this many times. Vossler is one of the original Dire Wolf kings and the last one still alive of the throuple between Madeline and the vampire Greyson. Our father is one of his descendants," I stated in exasperation. Laughing lightly, Zaika put his arm around my shoulders and led me to his balcony.

Every hunt, every scream, every kill, flashed across his eyes, ripping his soul apart. “You were right, Mallon. I am a monster.” Jason hugged the pillow, tears of blood gushed out of his eyes. Then a realization hit him hard. “Gamma Mathew looks exactly like Mallon. He is.....” Jason was paralyzed on the spot, his fear became tangible, a living force that crept over him like some hungry beast. “It’s impossible. Reincarnations are not real.” His heart sank when he denied the only possible reason for that exact face.

I quickly backed out of the driveway to head back to the packhouse when I felt a third. I mindlinked Luke, “What’s happening? Three warriors dead.
