I could feel his body emanating waves of anxiety. He rubbed the back of his head as he spoke. "I... I wanted to apologize..." Zed's voice was shaky and he seemed to be extremely nervous which made me all the more empathetic and guilty about how I treated him. "I know I've acted... I never meant to— I didn't want to..." another sigh escaped his throat and I could feel his anxiety rise by the second.

He accidentally walked her right into a tree, and he winced. “Oops. Sorry about that.” Justine gave Peter a disapproving look. “I know you did not just apologize to a zombie.” His cheeks turned redder than the cold has already made them. “Well, she might be human again in a little bit. I don’t want her to think I’m a jerk.”

Audrey asked her carefully, still trying to observe what was going on and what Zoe was trying to pull. “What? No. No. I would never do that. If this is about the other day during breakfast, I apologize. My mood was on the edge because I had a terrible cramp, and I was unintentionally harsh,” Zoe apologized to her immediately, her eyes drooping in genuine and deep somberness towards her attitude. ‘No one in this house has apologized to her before for anything they did wrong,’ Audrey thought to herself, as she watched Zoe apologize so profusely to her.

The two were now walking along the corridors.

I’ll bring her to you another day so she can apologize in person.” At that, Liz’s brows drew together. “If you really want her to apologize, have her record a video and run it on every digital billboard in the city. I’d prefer that kind of apology to some halfhearted, private visit.” Zac’s dark eyes locked on her, silent for a moment. Then he said, “Fine. I’ll do it.”

I felt nauseated immediately and avoided everyone's gaze. “Hmm, I really want to say that I didn’t mean to make such a remark earlier, and I really want to apologize to Vivian." Vivian raised her face to meet my gaze, hands on her chest. I took a deep breath and said the words that felt like a curse in my throat, "I sincerely apologize for what I said earlier. I was really selfish, and you’re so generous in donating that stuff. I was angry because I didn't give consent, but you're a nice person, and I was just being brassy."

He was feeling so regretful and guilty. Mingchan then sat down on his bed slowly and titled his head, looking at Zuno. “Hey, why are you apologizing, Zuno?” Mingchan asked Zuno with a worried face. Zuno then looked at Mingchan with a regretful face. “I can’t fix you one hundred percent, I am really sorry. But for now, I restarted your system, the damage was so bad and you are not allowed to charge anymore. I am really sorry.” Zuno said with his vibrating tone of voice he looked away and trying to hold on his tears as he was feeling so bad for Mingchan and Mukgu.

"You actually have the nerve to message me? What, did you think I wouldn't come back to Grimford just to bite your head off for ghosting me?" I leaned back, a small, genuine smile tugging at my lips. "I'm sorry, Maya. I know I was a prick. I’m apologizing." There was a stunned silence on the other end. "Wait. Did the moon go blue? Did the 'Stubborn Forensic' actually just say the word 'sorry'?" "Don't start," I sighed.

Although, she can’t do much damage to me. Zombies are hard to kill; basic injuries don’t phase us; we barely bleed and move faster than a human. The whole misconception that zombies are mindless, slow, and easy to kill is all the things that we incorporate into the human world through movies, books, and TV shows. We wanted them thrown off, thinking that we were mindless creatures. In reality, we are intelligent, ruthless, and apathetic to most human emotions.
