Jo shot over his shoulder as they got closer to the Vampires who seemed a bit surprised that the Guardian wasn’t going down. Jo shot another Vampire in the head twice, and the female bloodsucker fell backward, exploding into ash before she hit the ground. Zane took out another one as well, and then they were fighting for the same real estate. As much as Jo liked to blast a Vampire into oblivion with her gun, there was nothing quite like the satisfying tear of a Vampire’s head coming off of its body.

Behind them, there was a small group of about five people, but I still felt outnumbered. I felt my body tremble and hugged myself; I feeling more unsure of myself than ever. I averted my eyes, feeling guilty. They already know, I told myself. I stared at the ground, trying to make some of that guilt go away, but instead a singed hand came into my view. More guilt came over me at the thought of all the dead bodies and how bad they looked. I looked closer, trying to make myself feel better by identifying the awful bodies of vampires we fought earlier.

It was a pathetic and undeniable craven existence but it was how they were winning the war. Dave let out a sigh. "No. He used a HG blade." I nodded. A brilliant man named Henry Gomez spent his life developing a UV spiked, but essentially silver based liquid that could be applied to any metallic object, leaving a coat of active poison that would kill both shade and host upon entering the their shared body. Something in perfectly balanced formula temporarily imprisoned the shade and as long as the wounds you inflicted on the human were mortal, the shade shared the same fate. Little Zane kept staring at his father's dead body. He felt like screaming but he was frozen and stayed where he was, hidden in the shadows. "ZANE?!"shouted a voice, it was his mother,"Zane are you alright?! Did they hurt you too?! What is going on?!" "Mother, my father is dead. Prince Alfred shot him with a silver arrow in the heart",blurted out Zane, with moisture in his eyes. His mother knelt down infront of him and said,"Don't worry son, you will be alright. I will protect you till my last breath. I won't let those Vampires hurt you! Come with me"

With a whoosh, it rolled to both sides. Xander Faris put the Humming Twilight Slash into the sheath with no expression on his face. With a crisp sound, the two zombies suddenly trembled. The next moment, they exploded into dozens of pieces and fell to the ground. Among these pieces, there were two crystals about the size of peanuts that glowed with red light.

Gulping, Zander stared at the three heads torn apart from the bodies lying in the dark slime, the only thing recognizable in the room. The skulls were getting disintegrated. Slowly burning, going down, submerging in the acid like black substance. And he gulps. Daring, he lifts his eyes to look at the source of all this chaos. The girl who stood in the center of the slime with her head lowered, her wet hair veiling her face. The skin he was kissing and caressing a few hours ago was pale, white as a ghost. The worn out hoodie she wore every day was red with blood. Torn from places like someone tried to force her.

But they had to hurry- it wouldn't take them long to figure out what or rather who was under the hood. The person in the center took one last look at the retreating figures of the werewolves and breathed a sigh of relief. It had been easy to distract the hycwens with a sudden appearance, yet the hycwens were a notorious breed known for their bloodlust, though they were a bit dim-witted. 20 feet above the ground, the hycwens' mouths continued to bicker, "Is it dead? I wanted to play with it a bit.." The person whirled around and stood on their feet in one swift move, discarding the hood.

There was something about him that made Jasper think that he just might be able to help him like once things settled down. If his information was correct, unlike the vampires and werewolves, the zombies weren’t sent from another dimension. They were humans whose humanity went bad. If Jasper was correct, zombiesm was caused by a virus of some type. If there was one thing that he was certain of it was that all viruses had a cure. He just needed time to find it.

jason asked, Zaymor stretched his arms as the mist cleared, in its place were dead creatures with blades, "They will" he said as they attacked, Everything slowed again, jason could feel the vibrations of their feet on the earth, he attacked the first zombie, cleaving off its head to ascertain the truth about the part where one cut their heads off, it fell to the floor and became dust, "Head it is " he thought as he parried a strike by another and kicked it back into the group, Sorrena was holding her ground well, there was something in her claws that shone blue and allowed a slash to any part of their bodies making them dissolve to dust,

The reminder of their loved ones, held hostage by Governor Dennis, was enough to keep them moving forward. --- The Zotes turned a corner, their path leading them into what was once a central courtyard. Suddenly, a low growl rumbled from the shadows, stopping them in their tracks. “Eyes up,” Viper ordered, his knife already in hand. A single zombie emerged, its body mangled and decayed. Its milky eyes locked onto the group, and it let out a guttural moan.
