There was something about him that made Jasper think that he just might be able to help him like once things settled down. If his information was correct, unlike the vampires and werewolves, the zombies weren’t sent from another dimension. They were humans whose humanity went bad. If Jasper was correct, zombiesm was caused by a virus of some type. If there was one thing that he was certain of it was that all viruses had a cure. He just needed time to find it.

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death. "This is the last of our food. We have to ration it. We have to make it last." Mom nodded along beside him, completely serious. "One less mouth to feed. You'll get to live a few more days."

Surprisingly enough, I was reborn to the timeframe where there were six hours left before the zombie outbreak began. Memories of my past life were replayed in my mind like a movie reel. It was as if I could still smell the rotten and bloodied stench wafting from the zombies. With a trembling hand, I felt my neck. Although it felt smooth and flawless, I could still feel phantom pain flaring from it. The moment my phone's screen lit up, I turned my attention to it immediately. But, I fell asleep, I guess no one can cheat sleep. “Rise, shine, and dine,” Darius said as he woke the both of us and gave us food. “Can we do the tests now?” I asked. He nodded and asked us both to follow him down to the basement. Hannah and I both ran out of the basement as soon as we got in. He had two zombies chained down in that basement, ain’t no way I’m going in. After a lot of persuasions, we both entered. The place reminded me of my father’s laboratory as there were chemicals lying all around. The zombies were acting like they would when they see prey.

Soon lunch gets over, and I hug Andrew one last time telling him everything will be alright. I was spacing out the whole day thinking about Andrew. I reach home, and go to my room, and switch on the light. I see a zombie standing near my bed. Soon another zombie walks out of my bathroom, and two emerge from my closet and someone taps on my shoulder. I turn around and see another zombie, and I scream. I run and hide inside my blanket, All the zombies start laughing, and I poke my head outside and recognise them. I glare at my friends.

I walk through the crowd of people conversely to see the source of danger and my eyes almost bulges out. Zombies swarm across the hole from above the leaking ceiling of the base. Endlessly falling and tumbling to the ground chasing and biting people with their disgustingly sharp teeth..! Blood saturating the ground with rotten smells and tiny worms splattered around the base. "This is the apocalypse?!" I have never seen one before. This is the first. "Help..! Aaaaahh!" A rotting zombie takes hold of a child and is about to bite her. My hand trembles but I pick up my courage and...
