she begged, and I sighed and asked her calmly, "Have you found your mate? What happens when you find him?" "I will reject him," she replied swiftly, as if she didn't want to be mated to anyone else except me. Zoey was beautiful, endowed, and curvy. She passed the Luna test, and my mother liked her, but Zion didn't like her. He felt on edge around her, like she was pretending to be nice on the surface, but deep in her heart, she had ulterior motives. You know, like a two-faced person.

"I should have realized he was using me. I was so desperate to believe you were my sister that I didn't even question why he let me send messages, why he didn't stop me—" "Because he's a predator," Zara said, appearing from a side corridor with medical supplies already in her hands. "Predators use the things their prey wants most against them. You wanted to believe in family, so he gave you that as bait. It's not a failure—it's how he operates. And it's how we're going to stop him." She herded us into the secure medical wing, a reinforced room deep in the packhouse's basement with walls thick enough to stop a bullet. Other pack members were already gathering there—Mira, the younger wolves, a

They would have frozen to death in this extreme cold. Snow leopards might be plausible, but did the zoo even have one? No. The most likely culprits were the Northeast tiger or a polar bear. But the zoo was more than ten kilometers away. How had such a massive predator crossed that distance, braving the poisonous hailstorm? Ray found it almost unbelievable. The alternative—that someone nearby kept a huge predator—was even less likely. This wasn't the Middle East; no wealthy landowner was raising a lion or tiger in their home.

And Scarlett didn’t play for small stakes. She had a doctorate in psychology and a predator’s patience. Beautiful face, perfect smile, and a mind sharp enough to cut you open before you even realized you were bleeding. Which was why I could immediately tell from the moment she’d shown up at the film festival, that Scarlett’s new target was her. Zoey. Her new prey. One way or the other, she’d found out about me and Zoey. And now, she was back to hunt. That was why I allowed Zoey to end it all last night. Not because I wanted to. Christ, I wanted her more than ever. Her sharp tongue. The heat in her naive eyes when she looked at me as I wrecked her.

he ordered them so Zion just nodded and started to drive in the direction of Caltex's condominium. "Who else was with you last Mating season? Or did you just use a suppressant?" There is a bit of concern in Knox's tone, because they told him several times that they will look for a suitable partner in the mating season without string attached but he does not want to, he uses only suppressant since he became the leader of the pack. "Uh-hmm, I know you were together that time so I won't ask who was with you that day." Clever made a bitter promise that Zion's cheek turned red and the other was proud that Knox did not deny his friend's accusation.

I could only meet my team members once a week since the pack’s priority was training although we could still see each other via video conference whenever there was an emergency. Right now, I was checking the monthly report from the acting CEO of Amore and also the proposals waiting for my approval. Amore was the software company I built after I graduated from college. The twins, on the other hand, were sitting on the couch and were both busy checking the reports from our team regarding the location of Vampires. They found a CCTV footage regarding Theo Willers in a certain building in Makati, but when the wolves got there yesterday, he was already gone.

Mike nods at me and we leave the building together. Zeus and I are both excited to get to Patty’s to see our girls. I feel like I am speeding like a mad man but only crawling like a turtle. It seems like it takes forever to get there. Finally I pull up to Patty’s. The diner is packed, and I see Patty inside hustling about. I look into the surrounding trees and see the glowing eyes of several of my pack members, in wolf form, patrolling the space to protect their Luna.

"I can't believe he actually thinks he's superior, even when he's living off her. That's next-level pathetic!" Seeing the tides turning against him, Jack pointed at me and shouted, "Recording me in secret is a violation of my privacy, Suzanna!" I slipped the voice recorder back into my bag and shrugged. "What would it be when the security guards pinned me down and tried to take my recorder earlier? Was it considered false imprisonment or attempted robbery?"

They both entered the car. 'Isaiah Alcatraz is one of the top powerful men, who has risen to the top of the world l's richest people in just a short period of time. X-zig, is the world's leading technology and would take over the world's technology very soon.' the news read. His pictures was all over the billboards. He was the most talked about man in every internet. Zoey leaned her head on the car window and closed her eyes. She could only listen to the news from the car radio and not see his face. She didn't bother about that as it never concerned her.

“Is that a threat?” “An observation,” he says smoothly. “Your leaders might think they have contained beasts for their amusement. However, they do not yet realize the cage is already unlocked from the outside.” Unlocked from the outside. What does he— A piercing scream echoes from the far end of the corridor, cutting my thoughts short. It is followed by the unmistakable, heavy thud of a body hitting the stone floor. Jorunn. My head whips toward the darkness of the hallway. “Too late. They’re already here.”
